I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Great Film overall
A Disappointing Continuation
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
This movie was complete garbage. Who are the people that are rating this super high and what the hell is wrong with you?! The subject of the movie is already extensively dark and dreadful. But, when you add that with distasteful continuous violence and perversion the movie has to do much more to convince me that it's actually telling a STORY. This movie doesn't tell a story anyone ever needed to see. What exactly was the POINT of this movie? Men are animals? It's just a stupid movie I'm sorry. It's highly unlikely the main character, Angel, would have the role she had in this movie in real life. I couldn't wait for it to be over. Honestly let me recommend another movie if you really do enjoy violent or twisted movies, but that at least is a movie WORTH the watch. Martys was very, very good... Just make sure you see the 2008 & not 2015. You're welcome. Skip this crap.
I will start off my review by saying that I have seen some of the most disturbing films ever created those of which being "The Human Centipede", "Martyrs", "A Serbian Film" twice, "I Spit on Your Grave" and "Hostel" along with many others so I'm very calloused when it comes to not flinching when watching Graphic Content but this movie hit my core like a punch from Saitama. I will now start with the story which is about a girl named Angel who is a deaf mute who is forced to work in a prostitution house in the Balkans of the late 1990's. The story progresses when she meets the soldiers that killed her family at the house and fyi that isn't a spoiler that is in the base synopsis of the movie. I will now head to the acting department which was cast Superbly seeing as I didn't know anybody outside of "Sean Pertwee" whom I love as an actor. The main protagonist Angel who is played by "Rosie Day" was Absolutely Amazing in her role and everyone else did a tremendously great job. I will move onto the action which is hard to define so I will combine but action with psychological aspects. I mean the action scenes are among some of the most grueling and painful to watch scenes I have seen for an extremely long time and very bloody. I will now go into the psychological aspects of this movie. I mean I had a hard time watching this film and as I mentioned prior I have seen a ton of stuff. I mean the subject matter and what it portrays on the screen is harsh, grim, cruel, heartless and incessant the whole time. I literally had to force myself to watch it until the end. I wanted to go through the screen and kill these sick individuals myself. The location was shot very well in a disused Air Force Base doubling as a brothel house so it mainly stuck to the one house the entire movie. I will close by saying this is Paul Hyett's second movie I have seen but his first movie made because I watched "Howl" the other night and it was Incredible. I will finish with this and that is that this movie is gut-wrenching to watch and will more then likely make you feel there is no longer any hope for civilization if you haven't already lost that but this is a Must-Watch movie that will question everything you hold dear considering this still happens in today's society all around the world. I'm honestly at a loss for words but just prepare yourselves for one of the the most unsympathetic and barbarous films you will ever watch and have a wonderful day.
I watched this movie last night and the first thing I wanted to do when it was over was to contact Sean Pertwee, whom I have always liked, and tell him that I thought he gave a POWERHOUSE performance of his career in this movie. Sadly, I was unable to contact him via Facebook so I'll just have to hope he reads this. The Seasoning House's subject matter is a very upsetting and hard to watch in places but.....WOW, where do I start heaping the praise? Well first I have to say that I was shocked to learn, while watching the special features on the DVD, that this is Rosie Day's FIRST leading roll in a movie. She is like a seasoned (pun intended) actor with many years of experience under her belt. This young lady should go a long, long way in the film making business and was totally brilliant as Little Angel.Kevin Howarth also deserves high praise for his roll as Viktor as he was also totally convincing for his part and EVERY other actor seemed totally committed to making this movie work, especially the young ladies. Paul Hyett (director) also did an exceptional job with some clever camera work on a lot of scenes. But, as I have already stated, THE kudos in my opinion must go to Sean Pertwee in the roll of Goran. He was so realistic as this character that he REALLY bothered and unnerved me. I have seen pretty much everything he has done but this was by far the one I will remember the most. Amazing Mr. Pertwee, simply amazing.P.S. Not overjoyed with the ending!!!
This film is brutal. It was extremely hard to watch this movie because the rape of teen girls scenes were horrifying and too realistic. For me, there is nothing entertaining about rape and this movie seemed to concentrate on this horror. I read another reviewer who stated it's tough if you're not used to seeing this - NO ONE SHOULD EVER BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO SEEING THIS! I will say, the main character played by Rosie Day was a hero you could seriously cheer for. She was so sympathetic and then brave and heroic. The slashing/stabbing scenes were also realistic and quite gory. I kept thinking that knife is really sharp. What's truly scary is that places like the Seasoning House really did/do exist, unfortunately. I will say the story was fast-paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Can I recommend this - only to those with a strong stomach.
