As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
The movie really just wants to entertain people.
It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
The visual quality and attention to detail is just breath taking. The world that this movie takes you to is also very intriguing and believable even if you are not into owls that much. The story is told like a classic epic which is pretty good especially when combined with its extra ordinary visuals. The only problem I had was from my side and it was not being able to see this in glorious 3D because the attention to detail would have just shined through and through. So if you can help it please just watch in 3D.
The movie was a bit stereotypical as most of the movies that don't bring novel twists in the plot. A young owl that through misfortunes or misadventures reaches something it couldn't do at home. It identifies with novels that are bildungroman where the characters maturates while the events are folding up. I liked the animation and the resolution of it which reflected a great labor done by the animator. The climax of the movie was a bit unrelated and didn't build or perfectly match with the flow and plot of the whole and I think that there should have been some spices in order to keep it on.
This movie is awesome Director of Watchmen and 300 this is a movie you should see if you like harry potter lord of the rings or 300 then you defiantly need to see this movie you will not regret me I am 14 and I'm a boy When I first saw this movie in ten minutes I was saying to myself this movie is going to suck because its animated but another 10 minutes I was like saying to myself this isn't bad and then another ten minutes I was saying to myself this is good and then finally after another ten minutes I loved it and just because this movie is animated doesn't mean that adults or teenagers can't watch this movie anymore they still can watch because the real genre for this movie is a Adventure and a fantasy movie not Kids/Family
How do I put this? Well, everybody praises Toy Story 3 for being the best animated film of 2010. Which, in some cases, yes it is. But an animated film directed by the guy who brought '300', 'Watchmen' and the upcoming 'Man of Steel' has to be a close second. The music, the acting, everything is perfect. Especially the visuals, my god. BUT; be warned. This is NOT a kids film. This is a family film suitable for kids. I can't put into words how surprised I was by this film (and I got chills from the trailer). Seriously, this is worth buying on Blu-Ray. If they re- released it for some unknown reason in cinemas, I would go see it. Definitely recommended.
