Simply Perfect

A brilliant film that helped define a genre

It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,

So, this movie has been through the grinder with not so many fans out there. It seems clear to me that you should not expect an A-list Blockbuster when putting this DVD in your DVD-player. That being said, and keeping this flick being a B-movie in perspective, I quite enjoyed it. Needles to say, this movie feeds on a respectable franchise that recently got re-hyped. The movie aims at a specific audience by throwing tons of dinosaurs, minimal dressed young ladies and carnage at you. The plot is simple, but enjoyable. The special effects and CGI are not top-nudge, but do deliver their point. The acting is not always decent, but the characters are established well enough and their characters are quite developed. The writing contains some well written plots and some over the top plot- holes. All by all, I would give this movie a 5/10.If you're expecting a carnage filled action movie that you can enjoy on a lazy Sunday afternoon, this is the right movie for you. If you are looking for a story to captivate you, you should move along.

'Jurassic City' takes 3 young ladies into prison after a night of too much drinking and unsuccessful driving. Next door to them, a rapist and murderer is locked up. Just when they think it couldn't get any worse, a bunch of dinosaurs breaks into the prison. A politician unleashed them onto the city, believing that if he saves the city, he will be elected president. This cunning plan would only work if nobody ever asked where the dinosaurs came from in the first place. Anyway, the bad murderer guy takes a gun from the warden and start shooting the dinosaurs. A bunch of special forces tried the same, with more fire power but without any success. The 3 above mentioned young ladies now have to figure out how to get past the dinosaurs and the heavily armed madman...It's a rather crazy low budget action flick, but it was entertaining, I give them that. Compared to director Sean Cain's previous effort 'Jurassic Attack', the animation doesn't look as awful as last time, but that's probably owed to the darkness of the prison, mercifully hiding the technical weaknesses which were more obvious in the sunshine outside.

This is among the worst films I've ever seen. And I don't mean so bad it's funny. Because it's not even funny. It's just plain bad.I don't even know what's the worst part of it. The "acting", the horrible CGI, the total lack of continuity, the awful script, the talentless directing or the fact that nothing made any sense what-so-ever! And when you react to nothing making sense in a film like this, that says quite a lot. In fact, it was so bad that I decided to take the time to write this review just to save others the time it takes to see it.Not funny, not scary, not cool, not entertaining. Just... Bad. Do NOT waste your time with this garbage. Watch a funny kind of bad film instead.

I really wanted to enjoy this movie. I am a big Monique Parent fan ( she played Scarlet ), but she only had a bit part, and not put to good use ( IMHO ). A couple of other faces I recognized but could not put names to until I checked on IMDb.I had put in a pre-order to get the DVD, and waited for its final release and arrival in my mail box.A HINT at a little girl on girl action, but, nada. Girls in bikinis but no T&A ( which MIGHT have made this bearable ). Most of the "action" ( and I use the term loosely ) is in a jail ( which is where the producers belong ). No spoiler alert needed; I fell asleep after an hour. I'll try again tonight. I'd recommend saving your money and wait to see it on SciFi or other cable channel.
