The Rebound
Upon discovering her husband's infidelity, Sandy leaves the suburbs and moves into the city. There, she befriends Aram, a guy whose wife only married him so she could get a green card. Sandy hires Aram to be her nanny, and it isn't long until Aram and Sandy find out they get along wonderfully and start to date. But is their relationship real or is it, in fact, just a rebound for both of them?

Sorry, this movie sucks
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
(Spoiler Alert)This movie is nothing more then a bunch of 3rd wave feminists garbage. Catherine-Zeta Jones character is a huge unpleasant BI___ and I can't (Spoiler Alert) blame her husband for cheating on her at all. Personally I'm sorry, but Zeta Jones looked extremely average in this film to me, and I don't know why everyone thought she was so hot in this film. Personally she looked like anyone else yeah she was attractive sure, but no better then anyone else. I don't understand what the big deal is, she was way hotter in Oceans 11 any how forget all that noise it doesn't matter. (Spoiler Alert) The whole movie is trite garbage why would such a great woman who's so empowered and independent fall for some loser? Who is in need of growing a spine and doing his own thing, what I would have recommend to him, was growing a spine moving up the oil fields and making some money and doing some hard labor, that would be the best thing for him. Not working in some coffee shop waiting for some silly woman to come along and tell him how to live. How can she tell him how to live when she doesn't even know how to live? Complete garbage and I don't care how many people this review offends.
Suburban mom Sandy (Catherine Zeta-Jones) finds evidence of her husband Frank cheating on her son's birthday party video. She takes her 2 kids to live in the city while she's getting a divorce. She takes a fact checking job on a sport channel. She's compulsively organized and had spent all her spare time compiling sports data. Aram Finklestein (Justin Bartha) is 24 and still recovering from the breakup of his marriage to a French girl who only wanted him for a green card. He's working at a coffee shop but his aimless lifestyle concerns his parents. Sandy moves into the apartment above the coffee shop. He babysits her kids. She starts writing sports stories. He starts working as her nanny. Eventually they date. Only they're both on the rebound or are they? Both Catherine and Justin are perfectly nice actors portraying perfectly nice characters. There isn't much in terms of hurdles other than their age difference. Catherine is so hot that her age doesn't necessarily matter at least to the audience. Written/directed by Bart Freundlich, the movie shows more competence than anything extraordinary. The romance is as predictable as it gets. The comedy has a couple of charming chuckles. This is a mildly amusing rom-com.
"The rebound" is a movie about a woman who, after her divorce, she moves to New York with her two children. As she struggles to get her life in order, she meets Aram, a younger man who first helps her out as a nanny for her children and then she becomes her boyfriend. But having a relationship with a younger man isn't as easy as it sounds. The theme of the movie is promising but the development of the story is predictable. With no twists and no surprises, it doesn't entertains, even though some parts are funny. The performances aren't good, and the couple have no chemistry at all. So the final result is boring and leaves you unsatisfied. So 2 out of 10, because it wasn't what I expected.
i kinda like the movie...because i like Catherine and i am into romantic movies....but it was a little boring....the plot is a middle aged woman Catherine is divorced and bumped into a young guy who is her baby sitter and fall in love ...on the other side the young guy Justin is also divorced but things with them did not work out so well and they get parted and reunites like many movies...........coming to the roles Catherine is amazing as always and Justin is good at his character but the romance between them is not so good....i mean i liked it but there is something missing....i hope it has more to it....finally i would say its not a bad movie for once to watch.........
