Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines
A small West Virginia town is hosting the legendary Mountain Man Festival on Halloween, where throngs of costumed party goers gather for a wild night of music and mischief. But an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals kill the fun when they trick and treat themselves to a group of visiting college students.

A Masterpiece!
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Wrong Turn was still a old stool, creaky legs, about to fall but still being used for sitting on. With Wrong Turn 3 ending it with a soppy sequel, Wrong Turn 4 then tried to defend it with it's shield and worked on some people..but not enough, but, without a doubt, Wrong Turn 5 was still happening and soon in 2012, then we got Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines! I honestly really enjoyed Wrong Turn 5 for it's cool deaths and it's awesome Halloween type feel to it. The film is my third favorite after one and two and is to me, probably one of the best low budget sequels ever! Even the film's performances are quite good but Doug Bradley sure is, Doug Bradley is honestly killer in this film, awesome addition, too bad he could not return for six though, but then, who wanted to return for six? Wrong Turn 5 is a truely good direct to video sequel that deserves to be noticed more then it already is!
This was the wrong movie for me to watch.First, there is nothing scary, frightening, intense or suspenseful about this movie.Second, movie characters start dying from the beginning with no story buildup. There's nothing tying the deaths together. It's just random, cannibalistic violence for the sake of violence.Third, I realize whenever you watch movies, you have to be able to suspend some of your beliefs in reality. This movie spits in the face of reality! The deputy getting killed in the beginning is a quintessential example of what I'm talking about. One of the inbreed killers is walking towards him with a bow and arrow. Shoots him with an arrow while he had ample time to draw his side arm and place a hole in his head. Keep in mind the deputy is armed with a handgun. Does he pull it out and drop the killer? No. He waits to get killed!Fourth, that same killer has the ability to out run and out maneuver 12 gauge shot, and get shot in the leg only to experience instantaneous healing. Once again, a horror movie that relies heavily on the main characters stupidity, bad judgment, and the villain's ability to avoid getting killed, and heal instantly. This theme is getting old and annoying!
Wrong Turn 5 (2012)** (out of 4) A group of college students are on their way to a music festival in West Virginia when they're targeted by Maynard (Doug Bradley) and the three mutant rednecks. Before anyone can be harmed Maynard is thrown in jail where the sheriff (Camilla Arfwedson) plans to turn him over to the U.S. Marshalls in the morning but sure enough the three mutants show up to try and break him out.WRONG TURN 5 is basically just a remake of RIO BRAVO or ASSAULT ON PRECENT 13, whichever film writer-director Declan O'Brien is a fan of. Either way, this film is certainly a step back from the previous entry but fans of the series should find a few things here to keep them entertained, although there's no question that they scaled by on the gore and violence levels. These two films were filmed pretty close to one another and it's clear that O'Brien wanted to get them as far away of the first two in the series. I really don't blame or fault him for trying to mix things up but this film can't compete with the fourth in the series let alone something like the two films it's borrowing from. With that said, again, I enjoy the fact that the writer-director tried to do something different with the series but we've seen this type of horror film way too many times and there just aren't enough original moments here to keep it entertaining. Everything in the plot is just something we've seen before and even the death scenes aren't all that memorable especially after what we've already seen. The one saving grace in the movie is the performance of Bradley who is just downright evil. He pretty much has to stay behind the jail cell for the entire film so it's just the lines of dialogue that he has to work with. Bradley does a wonderful job at just being the creepy old man and without him there's no question that the film would drag. The sheriff character is a well-written one, a strong female role and the actress does a good job with it. The rest of the cast is pretty forgettable and even worse is that the screenplay makes them all some of the dumbest that you're ever going to see in a horror movie. Plus, there are countless logical issues here including the fact that there appears to be no one in this town other than the main characters. Yes, I know there's a music festival going on but surely not everyone is attending it. Even the fact that this small town is having a festival and yet the only motel there still has rooms available to rent to the college students is something of a joke. Yes, that's nit-picking but when a film leaves you bored like WRONG TURN 5 did me, it's easy to see the flaws.
this wrong turn movie i least liked. i did not think this movie had much excitement. i think people shoud see this once.in the other movie the cannibals just kill other people. in this movie the cannibals kill people in sick ways.this movie is about some people coming to this town for the mountain man festival. in there way in a man walked in front of there car and makes them crash.the man gets arrested for going after them with a knife them.in the police station he is found out to be a most wanted killer. he keeps making threats that his men are going to kill them and let him out. they do come to get him and they kill every one around on the meanest way they can.i am not a big fan of this movie but i think this movie is good to watch on a day when you have nothing else to do.
