Bunty Aur Babli
Bunty and Babli are two avid dreamers. Two free souls born into caged small town realities. They grow weary of being two specks on the horizon. They desire the horizon itself. And so they pack their aspirations in worn out bags, whip a scarf of confidence around their proud necks and set forth. On a journey across the length and breadth of the country, spinning circles around the people they meet.

best movie i've ever seen.
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
I went to see this film expecting some terrible cinema, but I was surprised, it was actually quite enjoyable! Bunty Aur Babli is a movie showing romance, and comedy, mixed with an adventurous story.Abhishek gives one of his better performances. He shows signs of great potential, and gives a very good performance. He looks very suave, cool and mischievous, and does an acceptable job as Bunty. Rani is a little less. I don't care if I get completely bashed by Rani fans for saying this, but she did an average job as Babli, I don't understand why she even does films sometimes, apart from dressing up, I didn't see what part she played in this film, and I mean that. I didn't like Amitabh Bachchan in this movie. As well as the really annoying wannabe gangster music that was played every time he entered, he disappointed me with a terrible performance. The music, is the saving grace, though I do like the way the director, Shaad Ali, did some of the scenes. I felt "Kajra Re" was over-hyped, I personally didn't like the song at all. Aishwarya was used solely for commercial purposes, its obvious.I was disappointed with this movie, but in the 2nd half, it got more interesting, things became easier to understand, it started making sense. But my issue with it was that, as soon as you understand it, it zooms ahead and before you know it, the movie's over. I didn't like that, it went too fast.Be prepared for a roller-coaster...of doom!
i love this film and it was very good and i watch it so many time i don't get tired of watching and Rani looked wonderful and she did really good and i love you Rani Mukherjee so much. i love the way you look and i love you're hair style and you look pretty every movie you make and keep up the good work and i hope you do good in you future and keep up the good work and good luck in you're other movies and hope you do good and you look pretty in sari and you look good with Abhishek Bachan and you'll make a cute couple and hope to see both of you in any other movies and i love the way you act and that makes you look so pretty and smart and i wish you're all wishes and hope come true you're fan. Love Mandeep Kaur
Mr Chopra stole the idea from "Catch me if you can" and added all that garbage Hindi Masaalaa. Direction was totally senseless. You can make a comedy, which has some sense. But looks like current Bombay Directors start from the base thinking that all public is stupid and they can put any "masaalaa" in movie, to stretch it for 3 hours as long as they put some top faces on screen and show some skin. If they wanted to copy from English movie, they could have done better job. They could have taken some lesson from "Angoor". But by making some foreigner walking around in India, with millions of dollars in his bag and Deputy Commissioner of Police dancing around in Clubs made it a total senseless movie. In short - A senseless movie, total waste of time and money.
The movie starts out very well, with the two dreamy-eyed, small town youngsters yearning to get out and live up their dreams in the big bad city. After that, the pace slowed down quite a bit as Big B's character is introduced. Some of the scenes appear to be forced. The plot itself seems to be based on either Matchstick Men, or Catch Me If You Can. The concept of the 'con' has been borrowed and the usual Bollywood elements added to it. The bar scene before the Aishwarya number has been dragged quite a bit. What truly pulled this one off is superb acting by Jr. B, Rani Mukherjee and the supporting cast, which is quite minimal in its appearance. One wonders if the director had a choice, or if someone was hogging footage (get it?). Both the parents are missing for quite a bit while B&B are romping it up. The reaction in the small town to B&B's exploits also could have been worth exploring but isn't shown.Overall its an entertaining movie, the musical score is good except for one song. One should not watch it as a realistic movie, rather as a fun caper that oozes lots of small town charm. There are definitely shades of films made in the 70s, 80s and one feels the influence clearly. Not surprisingly, this has been a hit grossing 4 times its budgeted cost.
