An Exercise In Nonsense
if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
While it was nice of Eastwood to include the actual guys who took down the terrorist he should not of used them as actors. It caused the dialogue to be stale. The writing and acting was like a bad high school play. I applaud them for being brave but don't try and act.
Skip through 70 minutes to watch true heroism and how these characters became heroes. Incredible story that will make you proud to be an American. But the music, and early scenes of how the guys grew up as trouble makers could have been done much better. The introduction of the girl in Italy who was only around for a few scenes was pointless to the story. I understand it was true and actually happened, by my point is, give her some depth as a character. Strange to make a movie out of an action scene that took about 5 minutes.
The movie's premice is such a wonderful depiction of what Humans can and should do that this movie only exploits the idea and ruins the actuality. I am so disgusted by how Clint took a fantastic situational solution down to the level of a "D" movie. These young men deserved the best of the best Actors to portray their heroism. I am ashamed for them and for the paying customers. What a total waste of a great act and wonderful idea for a movie. And Clint, change your Damn music for once. I'm so tired of your jazz crap, with so many phenomenal new artists you choose the same thing over and over again.
Clint Eastwood makes amazing movies period! I was excited about this one. And though this movie recounts a true event and highlights the bravery of those men, it's does not fulfill the standard that Eastwood has set with his films. I was disappointed in the movie as a whole. If I had gone into this movie without Eastwood's name attached to this film I might not have been as dissapointed. But this film is packed full of a lot of things that simply just don't need to be in the film to tell this certain story. I can say that after watching over 2,100 movies and shows. So there you go.
