This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

Well, when I saw this film yesterday I had no idea it was a continuation of two previous titles, so I may have lost some jokes in here. However, this film is still understandable and interesting for those who also didn't see the previous.Ice Cube's character (Craig) and Day-Day are two funny cousins that live together and need money to pay the rent after a mean Santa Claus steal theirs. So they decide to work as security guards, but they aren't able to help an elderly cross the street, so you can imagine how many troubles they get in. These comedy films with black cast are usually this funny and full of confusions, so I usually enjoy them. Ice Cube and Mike Epps are hilarious guys, specially Epps, so you will have a good time watching this. Of course it's not gonna be a life changing movie, but it entertains and delivers what it promises.

I liked Friday After Next better than Next Friday - my son and I fight about it all the time. Some of the old characters are back including Witherspoon/coordinate and a next door female admirer . . . what could she be thinking. Classic comedy scenes are abundant and the scene with Kat Williams/Money Mike is running from Damon and the Pimp Down scene are hilarious. The thievin' santa premise is great. Day-Day is forever clueless and manages to totally mess up whenever possible. I even like the soundtrack. Totally hood related comedy - if you have an open mind, you will have a ball laughing. And, if we could get Chris Tucker back, it would be on! All you haters, Friday After Next is a the comedy classic right behind Friday. I don't know what a good title would be for the next one, but I can't wait til it gets here.

Well, I do like the Coen brothers, P.T. Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, and other "critically acclaimed" stuff but I must say that I really get a good laugh out of these cheesy, ghetto Friday movies. I love the humour in these movies, it's like the nasty stuff we lay on each other as mates here. The scenes that make me laugh the most are the ones with Miss Pearly. She has to be one of the funniest characters in the series so far. Also her son Damen, another new character, is very funny, especially when he is watching Tupac on the television, or when he is being introduced to people at the party. The brothers Willie and Leroy are even better in this one than in Next Friday, although I did miss Suga. Day-Day has some extremely funny lines, as he did in the previous movie, and I find his character much more naturally acted than the Smokey character in the first movie. The only problem with this movie and the other sequel is that the plot and character development is not as good as in the first movie, even though there are some excellent lines. The DVD is well worth getting for its extras, such as the deleted scenes and the Pork Report.
