Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
After going their separate ways, Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred reunite to investigate the ghost of Moonscar the pirate on a haunted bayou island, but it turns out the swashbuckler's spirit isn't the only creepy character on the island. The sleuths also meet up with cat creatures and zombies... and it looks like for the first time in their lives, these ghouls might actually be real.

Good concept, poorly executed.
Excellent, Without a doubt!!
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
In this more contemporary Scooby Doo movie, the Mystery Inc. gang, having separated and acquired new careers, reunites on trip to Louisiana for Daphne's television show. They run into fun, ghostly adventures - just like the old days. The animation in this movie was very colorful and the plot was somewhat suspenseful, making the story elements, especially that of the zombies. It was great seeing Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and Scooby all banding together again to solve the mystery; you can tell that the humor, jokes and dialog have a more hip and modern touch to it.While a pretty fun and entertaining movie, it doesn't have that unique flavor of the classic Scooby-Doo series. It was interesting and noteworthy, though, to see this movie contain real supernatural forces. It's worthy to see - younger kids would enjoy this.Grade B-
This is considered by most everyone to be the crowning achievement of the long-running Scooby-Doo franchise, and I couldn't agree more. An extended episode this is not; it is truly where the stakes and the fear factor were at their highest.First off, Scooby and the gang are not one-note characters like in previous incarnations. The script actually allows the main characters to be fleshed out a little more while still being their likable selves. The supporting characters are also very engaging. The story is not only intriguing, but it is unbelievably mature for a Scooby-Doo film. This is by far the darkest in tone of the entire franchise, and it involves a dark backstory of treachery and murder. This film has a true sense of peril with you really believing that the gang really are in danger. They keep the suspense level high. Who ever thought that could ever be said about a Scooby-Doo film? This is the first of four Scooby-Doo movies animated by Mook Animation Studios, and the animation is superb. The zombies have a very nice design to them and look very creepy. In addition, the film also has the best soundtrack of the entire series. "Terror Time" and "The Ghost is Here" are both first-rate songs. This is not only the best Scooby-Doo movie, but also one of my personal favorite animated films of all time. It brings so much new stuff to the table while still having the Scooby-Doo spirit. Recommended to anyone, not just Scooby-Doo fans.RATING: A-
Personally I think that this was the best of all the Scooby-Doo movies, being very entertaining to watch.I liked the way in which this movie kept several elements from the original "Scooby-Doo" series, showing them from a modern perspective, which served to make this something enjoyable for kids and adults as well. The "darker" treatment that the plot from this movie received (At least in comparison with all the previous Scooby-Doo animations) served to make this film much more interesting, giving an unexpected twist to the usual formula of the cartoon. The result was more than satisfying in my opinion. The animation was decent, showing a huge improvement in comparison with all the previous Scooby-Doo movies, but conserving the aesthetic of the original series (Specially in what concerns to the characters designs and the dark sceneries) "Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island" is a highly amusing film for the whole family, which proofs that modern versions of old cartoons can be done right, maintaining the essence of the original- In that aspect, this is much better than the live-action movies.
Well it is about I got to watch this I tried to watch when it first came out but I never could because every time I went to go rent it somebody else had and when I went to buy it I could never find it. So After all these years of not being able to watch I finally get to see and I was nowhere near disappointed. I have to start by saying that I have always loved Scooby-Doo and I can never get tired of it and I will always watch Scooby-Doo. The storyline this movie follows is very good and cool lots of twists and turns along the witch is always good for a Scooby-Doo or mystery movie. The animation is very good all the characters are well drawn, the zombies look very cool and the zombies are one of the best things about this movie. The voice over actors do a very good job such as Scott Innes as Scooby-Doo, Billy West as Shaggy, Mary Kay Bergman as Daphne, Frank Welker as Fred, and B.J. Ward as Velma, and they even have Mark Hamil as Snakebite Scruggs. The acting of the actors doing the voices are very good. So all I can say is make sure you watch Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island because it is awesome.Overall Rating: ********** out of ********** ***** out of ***** Well some may consider this a spoiler so thats why I saved it for last My favorite thing about this movie is that this Mystery was all real no man in a mask its all real and I found that really cool.
