Boring
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
IMDb's plot summary for Breaker! Breaker! Is short and sweet – "Truck driver searches for his brother, who has disappeared in a town run by a corrupt judge." There's really not much more that needs to be said about the plot. Chuck Norris goes looking for his brother, discovers he disappeared in a backwoods town, kicks everyone in sight, calls his trucker buddies to bust up the buildings, rescues his bother. That's it. There are no twists or turns or other surprises. Breaker! Breaker! moves from point A to point B in the straightest line imaginable. If the writers spent more than 30 minutes on the script, they were wasting their time. For me, Breaker! Breaker! is predictable, silly, and not a lot of fun. Watching Breaker! Breaker!, it's difficult to believe that Norris would go on to have the film career he did. Other than kicking a few dudes, Norris doesn't offer much. He was never an award quality actor, but some of his films are at least entertaining. Even some of his early films are fun – I especially enjoy Silent Rage. I say this to point out that I'm not a hater – I just don't enjoy this movie. Two things that I did, however, enjoy were the performances of George Murdock and Jack Nance. Murdock's over-the-top portrayal of Judge Joshua Trimmings is one of the few highlights. And Jack Nance is always a lot of fun. It's a shame these guys are wasted in this turkey of a film.
Oh how I miss the message boards. This film was made for one reason only...to watch good ol Chuck walk around and kick some people in the chest. That being said, sometimes that is all it takes to make a watchable movie. There are some shallow supporting cast and a love interest that I think I blinked too long while watching and they became a couple. There's also a nice nod to the camaraderie of mid-70s truckers on their CBs. So to wrap up, some fun martial arts from Mr. Norris. I've seen a heck of a lot worse.Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door.
A truck driver searches for his missing brother. The only thing to say about this movie is thats its a Chuck Norris movie. Enough said!!Evan though, this movie has one of the best lines in cinema. When Norris defeats The Polish Angel, The Angel says "Thats no fair,he was trying to hypnotize me. So,this movie begs the question, could Norris take on Stallone in an arm wrestling match?Chuck Norris and Micheal Augeastine drives the Kenworth 18 wheeler.Chuck Norris and Micheal Augeastine are permanent A list actors.Deborah Shore and Terry O Conner are hot!!!erldwgstruckermovies.com
Chuck Norris became a American Icon when he reached the top of the Martial Arts world. Winning nearly every competition from East to the West coast, his fame proceeded him into films. There he made several low budget movies which led to his most memorable confrontation with the legendary Bruce Lee. In this film called " Breaker, Breaker " Norris plays John Dawes who's younger brother Billy (Michael Augenstein) a trucker has been arrested, jailed, kidnapped and presumed killed, at the whim of corrupt Judge Joshua Trimmings (George Murdock). The small town sheriff works with the judge to waylay Dawes as he enters the town. Throughout the film one can see Norris in action as he takes on the Sheriff and his henchmen and literally dusts' them. Though there is much to be said for the Martial artist, except for his talent, Norris's acting as well as the rest of the cast is stiff, boring and cardboard. The plot is simple as is the entire premise. Still if you're a Norris fan, this is one for you. If not you can do with this film as the title suggest. **
