... always take a camera with you, every where you go ... Well that's a version of a popular song, that could apply to this movie as well as to other found footage themed ones. It's more fitting in this case, because of the jump across the "pond" from America to Japan. But even there and with a different culture, evil never sleeps. It might be dragging its feet and its still slower than a turtle (until it puts in the high speed gear that is), but it seems to work its charm every time.Having a camera while you run for your life or rather catching it and still be able to film coherent material is tricky. But manageable as it seems. All jokes aside, this is a slow burning affair, one that is considered to belong to the Pananormal Activity universe. For whatever reason, other than to make money of advertising and compel to the Asian market that is of course ...

A film that remains hard to get hold of outside of its native Japan, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: TOKYO NIGHT is a straightforward Japanese remake of the US hit horror flick PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. Hey, it makes a change from all those remakes of Japanese horror films, right? I'm not sure whether this was an officially licensed film or not, but it's a general disappointment, although fans of J-horror might still enjoy it.The story sees a Japanese girl returning home from America to live with her brother in Tokyo. She's been injured in a car accident, which left both of her legs broken; after a while, it transpires that the accident involved the Katie character from the original PARANORMAL ACTIVITY (this twist was my favourite moment in the film). Soon enough weird paranormal stuff starts to take place, none of which will be a surprise to anybody who's watched any of the other movies.Like most remakes, this is pretty much a pointless film if you've seen the original as the format sticks very close. Many of the set-up scare scenes are the same, albeit with Japanese twists on the formula (like the scene with the priest). The acting is acceptable as are the effects, but the air of familiarity that hangs over the production is, in the end, its detraction as we literally have "seen it all before".

I bought this for 10 pesos and it's about the right price for it. The sound effects are as creepy as the first one and the movements of the possessed actress are quite good. As others have mentioned, there's a little twist at the end and for some reason it didn't seem as creepy as the rest of the film.Unlike the other films, there's no real explanation as to why the entity chooses this pair of siblings to play with.Another aspect that must be mentioned is that it's pretty true to the formula, so if you liked the other two you'll probably dig this one too.Overall, if you can get your hands on it secondhand or used, then by all means get it. Full DVD price, I don't think so.

The Yamano family lives in a secluded home in a remote Tokyo residential area. Their 27-year-old daughter Haruka suffered a compound fracture in a car accident while traveling in America. Haruka returns home in a wheelchair. There to meet her is her younger brother 19-year-old Koichi. Their father is away from the Yamano resident due to a business trip abroad. Koichi is left to take of his sister for until she can walk again.I've been heard a lot about this movie, of course because of the first two sequels. I gotta be honest i didn't like first Paranormal Activity, it was just money making machine it was created with 15,000$ and bring over $107,917,283 so i guess the team that making movie did really great job (about the money part) So i finally watch this film, and i gotta say it was like first 2 sequels. I don't want to bear at it. so i just gonna say: If you liked Paranormal Activity 2007 (first part) You gonna love this to. thanks http://www.imdb.com/user/ur23690923/?ref_=nv_usr_prof_0
