Must See Movie...
If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
The movie really just wants to entertain people.
A government agent trains Cody Banks in the ways of covert operations that require younger participants. Agent Cody Banks is the perfect blend of comedy spoof that basically makes fun of spy movies such as James Bond, True Lies and on and on. Muniz and Duff really give 2 very good perfomances plus they had a great chemistry together, the villains honor the Bond era pretty damn good and the film has some insane moments like Cody saving a kid from a car or basically the bad guys getting hit with objects just for a laugh but still not getting silly or anything. It's the kind of film that kids and parents can enjoy!!!
A film about a junior secret agent on a mission to save the world and get the girl. From car, snowmobile and skateboard chases to battling nanobots and infiltrating the villain's heavily-guarded secret hide out. This film starred: Frankie Muniz, Hilary Duff & Angie Harmon.Agent Cody Banks, isn't that good of a movie, I liked this film when I was younger but now when I watch it, it is just boring. I don't really recommend it but I would to your kids because they will enjoy it. But I am afraid this spy adventure doesn't live up to what the press claimed it would like it has with so many films.**/***** Poor.
This movie is about a kid who trains in a kids program for the C.I.A. and is sent in to get close to the daughter of a scientist that created a virus than can destroy anything. The virus has microscopic bugs that can eat through metal and bad guys are planning on using it to do bad guy things. The daughter of the scientist is way out of Banks league and he doesn't exactly have a way with the ladies, but he pulls some moves along with his "handler" and he gets the job done. This movie tries so hard to be a kids version of Jasmes Bond films, but it falls short with gadgets and Bond like manners. There are some kid friendly action such as snowboarding and such, but no adult would like it.Direction isn't bad but its nothing extraordinary. The leads with Frankie Muniz and Hillary Duff were good casting to drag kids in, but bad for fans of movies. I only think Frankie does good on Malcom In The Middle and Hillary, well she is annoying and sucks in anything. Daniel Roebuck is always good and he plays Cody's dad. Keith David is the head of the C.I.A. and always liked him in anything and also the bad guys henchman played by Arnold Vosloo of Mummy fame did a good job. It's a kids movie and good for kids and nothing too violent or out there. There is a bit of sexual innuendo here but nothing bad. I can't imagine an adult wanting to see it though, it falls short of being a good film. 2/10 stars
think of this as a junior James Bond/Mission Impossible.it's silly, but fun and action packed.it's also not at all plausible and it kinda loses steam when it gets serious and the ending is a bit maudlin.other than that though,it's a pretty good movie.there's nothing really offensive about it,bit there is a bit of sexuality implied.in my mind,Keith David is standout in his role as the director.it's not that big a role, but he sure has fun with it.Arnold Vosloo is also great as one of the evil henchman.if you can shut off you brain for 1 hour and 42 minutes, you might enjoy this movie, for what it is-mostly fluff, with some action and comedy.i give Agent Cody Banks an 8/10
