Fantastic!
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
How dare you make such a movie? I saw this movie out of my love of the "Classic" Anchorman. But it was disappointing. I have seen worse but no wonder why all these scenes and the plot not forgetting to mention was not a part of the EPIC Anchorman. If Anchorman made you laugh this doesn't even get in the class of "All About Steve". The editing, dialogue, and the one thing that would make it even worse the absolutely ridiculous plot. Watched it for 40 mins and I felt myself Nauseating. The only thing according to me was Will Ferrel that made the movie tolerable for 40 mins. at least.HW
I will be truthful. It was not as good as the original anchorman, but it was still good, in it's own way. The continuing story of Ron Burgundy and his girlfriend Veronica. This time, Ron goes too far....again. Veronica sends Ron on a mission to a fake newscast. The fun discontinued though, after Veronica finds out that Ron could be dead. She begins to worry, and goes out by herself, looking for him. All of the news anchors end up kidnapped. And afterwards, when they are freed, Ron and Veronica fall in love again. This movie deserves the same recognition that its predecessor, "Anchorman" had. It may not have been the same caliber as the original, but is just as fun when it comes down to the story. I laughed, I cried, I loved it. 10 out of 10.
A collection of Deleted scenes and alternative takes, edited together and with added voice-over to make it appear to take place after the events of the first. Pretty cool idea, but deleted scenes are left on the cutting room floor for a reason and this is further proof. As it's just not as funny as "Anchorman", and really let's face it THAT film wasn't exactly comedy gold either, so you get a 'movie' worse than one that was moderately funny. In my eyes that STILL puts it one or two notches above "Kicking and Screaming", or "Bewitched". Chross your fingers that "The Wedding Crashers" is a return to old school form (no pun intended) My Grade: D
I loved anchorman but this movie made me really upset, it was terrible, there was no point in putting this movie together through alternate scenes and deleted scenes, it was only funny to the people who made the movie, I understand that they thought it would be funny, but it really wasn't. I am a huge fan of the work that all those guys do , but i just didn't really understand the point for that movie. I laughed once and that was at brick. I was expecting a whole new movie, i guess i wasn't expecting what i saw. I wouldn't write this sort of thing if i didn't think anything was wrong. I also thought going into watching this "new movie" as it is presented, that it was actually a new adventure.
