Sleepy New Haven California is a small town with a big problem. A sixty foot slithering horror has arrived and shattered the town's tranquillity on it's path of death and destruction... Growing violent and more savage with each attack the gigantic creature soon becomes an unstoppable feeding machine raging beyond control of it's creator, leaving only the stripped bones of it's victims in it's wake.

Best movie of this year hands down!
Admirable film.
This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
Watching it is like watching the spectacle of a class clown at their best: you laugh at their jokes, instigate their defiance, and "ooooh" when they get in trouble.
This movie starts off with a cargo plane flying through a dangerous thunderstorm. Because of the turbulence a crate containing a very dangerous species of snake gets damaged which allows the snake to break out. Freed from its container it then proceeds to consume the occupants of the plane which then crashes in a remote part of the United States. From there on we learn that the snake is a hybrid created in Southeast Asia that has assimilated various abilities from other species and because of possible contamination by Agent Orange has grown to an enormous size and has an incredible destructive ability--and it has found a perfect venue for human flesh. Anyway, as far as the movie is concerned it had a good premise and contained a various amount of comedy, action and suspense. Unfortunately, none of these qualities were carried out to any great degree and in that regard I found the film to be somewhat unsuccessful. However, that's not to say that this movie has absolutely no entertainment value. It does to a limited degree. But it could have been much better. As such I rate it as slightly below average.
After crashing in a small-town, a series of deaths on the locals is found to be the cause of a military experiment to create a massive snake accidentally getting loose, and they race to stop it before it attacks more people. This one here was actually a far better entry than it really deserves credit for, as this one contains a lot of positives. The main thing going for the film here is the continuous amount of snake action that comes in here as this results in some cheesy fun, from the opening crash following the struggle in the plane followed by the early attack on the camping couple and the attack on the couple at the vacant house where we finally get to see the creature in full while generating the kind of great kills featured along the way. Also quite exciting are the bigger action scenes involving the snake going along throughout here. including the battle in the forest where the military's frantic race to stop it from getting away generating some pretty fine shoot-em-up action in the forest as the snake swirls around the area to attack them, a really enjoyable encounter with the friends hanging out at the shack in the woods, which not only features a great suspenseful stalking through the house starting with the initial ambush in the shower and leading into a high-energy car chase as well, and the final encounter in the underground lair which really has a lot going for it as well. From the chase into the bunker, the eventual realization discovery where it came from that allows for the great parts afterward of them trying to get the complex wired against the snake which features the great suspense with the attempt to get the explosives working again after a malfunction, there's a rather enjoyable air with this one setting up the big finish at the industrial complex which gives this a stylish and fun finish. It's enough to overcome the film's few problems, which mainly comes from the fact that the CGI for the snake bad, and continues the grand tradition of the appallingly bad CGI that's featured in such fare here, being badly integrated into the environments it's placed in and the flat pixel appearance coming off really badly in the grand tradition of these movies. It looks decent from a distance, but any time else just comes off awfully. As well, there's also the plot here as this is pretty clichéd and definitely has a lot of elements that have been done before, which when combined with the cheese featured here, make up the film's flaws.Rated R: Graphic Violence, Adult Language, a brief sex scene, and Brief Nudity
I saw this movie a couple of years ago back in...2006 or 7? I got to say...this movie is CRAP! The only good scene is at the start when the two people are having sex in the tent. That was awesome but apart from that...it was a complete failure. The movie is about a snake and I watched about 1 hour of it and in that hour I only saw the snake once. That's how crap it is. Seriously...this movie is God awful. If you're looking for a good movie...DON'T WATCH THIS. God was I bored watching this. Eventually my mom just said "change the channel this movie is shi*" I'm telling you...this movie is a train wreck. Don't watch it. If fact I recommend that you recommend to no one to watch this movie. It's just bad...plain and simple. Don't know what the hell was going on through the directors mind
This movie ROCKS! What more could you ask for? Robert Englund dressed as Panama Jack for some reason. Random sex scene in a tent. A crazy mutant killer snake chasing a truck. The proverbial shower scene - the towel NEVER falls off! Jenny Mcarthy as a skanky (oddly old looking) real estate agent. It's priceless! It ranks right up there with "The Snake King" and "Dagon" (which by the way is about mutant killer fish people). If you LOVE cheese this is the movie for you! And if you haven't had enough check out "The Snake King" with Stephen Baldwin in all of his acting glory! Python Rules! This has to be ten lines long so I'll finish this by giving praise to another excessively cheesy movie: "Cherry Falls" Oh, yeah: Jay Mohr as a psycho cross dressing serial killer and Brittany Murphy asking her boyfriend to bite her toes!
