When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Well, all the Tarantino elements were present : some good acting talent, an unusual and shocking story with barbaric characters, etc. However, it just doesn't work. For some reason there is no magic when these elements are mixed together and as a viewer you are not drawn into the story. You are more of a dispassionate observer watching a science experiment. Good for science, bad for film. After a while I lost interest in this film experiment and went elsewhere.

When a movie by Paul Schrader comes out, you know it will entertain and be good......so what happened to Dog Eat Dog? He did'nt write the screenplay to this one, and maybe he should have. The film of three ex cons stealing and killing is not a film that the audeince can relate to or even feel for the characters. Hollywood loves to show realism by having actors do the coke thing. You know the scene, sitting at the table with a credit card sorting the coke out, then drawing it in thru the nose.....Been done a hundred times and its boring. But why does the film rate a "zero"? Because of the ending scenes. Nicolas Cage's character is handcuffed to a police car and dragged around at speed. The next scene we see him hi jack a car with an elderly couple. THe director does not want to explain how he got away? Or did he think the the paying public would not notice. Next, Cage is driving the car and a fog appears out of nowhere, and in this fog a police car appears with sirens blazing. The police had infra red see thru fog glasses. What a load of crap. All of the reviws are blaming Nicolas Cage fro his performance. The actors were all great. The producer, writer and director are to blame for this rubbish.. We are not stupid Mr. Schrader, you conned us into coming to see this movie. Shame on you all

I read all the bad reviews and thought "how could a movie with Nicholas Cage and Willem Dafoe be that bad?". So I ignored them... It was truly dreadful, actually I didn't finish watching it. I watched about 40 minutes or so. I think it's supposed to be funny. It wasn't. Can't say anything good about it. I just don't understand how people in the film industry who presumably know what they're doing could ever release this. Cage and Dafoe just seemed to be trying (and failing) to do their best with an abysmal script, abysmal plot, abysmal everything.

Nicolas Cage and Paul Schrader has beaten their scores in terms of lack of quality. The movie has a very ordinary e known plot. Badly directed and poor script. Sometimes it tries to remember Tarantino's style but it fails awfully ! I have never saw so many people leaving their chairs from exhibition room during a movie. My surprise is that it was exhibited in a Art Movie Theater in São Paulo, Brazil (Reserva Cultural).
