Halloween II
After failing to kill stubborn survivor Laurie and taking a bullet or six from former psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis, Michael Myers has followed Laurie to the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, where she's been admitted for Myers' attempt on her life. The institution proves to be particularly suited to serial killers, however, as Myers cuts, stabs and slashes his way through hospital staff to reach his favorite victim.

I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
the audience applauded
Pretty Good
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
I will say Halloween 2 is filmed very well & has a similar atmosphere & style to the CLASSIC original but it's too stupid in many parts ridiculous actually!!! The whole story of making Michael lauries brother was RIDICULOUS no need at all & takes away how scary & random the killings was in the first film so makes no sense & was a STUPID idea. They also waited too long to follow the first film 4yrs, so the fact it literally carries on from the same night is Stupid again as you can see they all look different & aged & hair everything again STUPID!!! Also the part where Laurie wants to scream & all of a sudden can't scream loses her voice? until dr.loomis is in the hospital & the door closes & the of course she can scream again RIDICULOUS!!! Those are the bad points but the Good stuff is the excellent creepy atmosphere when using the excellent dark Hospital setting, that always stuck with me from watching it on my double feature video with the original. The cinematography is great & the music is good a more synthesized score as it's 4yrs later in the 80s!!! But yeah there is also alot of good stuff in this sequel, Jamie lee curtis is again really good but like i said had to do some stupid stuff in this & Donald Pleasance is back & basically being the same as usual but good. The hospital setting in very good & that makes the film exciting & scary, the kills are brutal & violent & myers looks very scary in this just like the first film so that is really good. A very good sequel just not Brilliant
While certainly not good as the first movie, Halloween II tries to continue the story right after the original.Truth to be told, this movie reminds me more of a Friday the 13th ripoff than anything else, Halloween movies included. While it is shot competently and the plot is pretty direct, everything else is kinda cheaper lookin' in contrast to he first movie. Hospital can be a great horror setpiece, but they just didn't use it to it's full potential. It's a conclusion that we did not need, but we got anyway. It's not perfect, and it's certainly not the worst Halloween movie ever made, far from it.As said in the title, after all - it's a cashgrab, but one that included most of the folks that worked on the first one, John Carpenter included. So there's that.
Lately, I have been watching a lot of old classic horror films like Friday The 13th, Nightmare On Elm Street, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre etc. so I have decided to continue reviewing the Halloween series after I have decided to rewatch them this year. Starting off with Halloween 2 (my review for Halloween is a few reviews down). Halloween 2 picks up straight after Halloween and follows Laurie who has now been sent to the hospital after her injuries from the first film and eventually Laurie realizes that Michael is back to kill her and the hospital orderly. Halloween 2 is an amazing sequel, it does everything so well and honestly feels like a true sequel and actually, really really similar to Halloween despite John Carpenter not returning. The film is different though in ways from the first film, it also had some of the best deaths in the entire series including the scene where Michael stuffs a womans face in boiling water, that death was so fun! Halloween 2 is an amazing sequel that deserves to be notcied for what it truely is.
The first Halloween was a classic, the ending was pretty effective, and in my opinion, it didn't need a sequel. Think of it, Halloween with that ending, nothing follows, I think that's pretty scary, but as it also goes, success always brings more, so here we have Halloween 2. It's not a bad sequel at all, but it's no where as good as the original. Plus it depends highly on bloody violence, brutal killings, which is okay sometimes, but a huge difference from the bloodless original. This one is more action packed, but not as scary. You do get more jump scares in this one, mostly done with loud music of course. I do like the new remix, John Carpenter did with the score, it sounds more techno, it's a bit stronger sounding than the original. But the movie done have some real questionable things in it, the biggest ones are, why is that hospital so empty?, why is there only one baby moving in a room filled with others in it, and wouldn't those new mothers be also in the hospital, if their babies are and many questions more. Halloween 2 is still a fun, never boring horror fest, fill with some dumb characters doing dumb things. Donald Pleansence and Jamie Lee Curtis returns, and both are still great in their roles, and Michael Myers is still a creepy dude, who has gotten a little more inventive with his killings. All in all, I like this sequel, but I didn't love it, it's still a pretty good movie for what it is, a straight forward bloody slasher film, that doesn't care about its obvious inconsistenci es, I'll still recommend it, no matter what.
