When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

I hate to be clichéd and write a one star review, but this movie was F**king horrid. First off not even counting the awful technical aspects, this movie is devoid of any feeling other than pretentiousness and weak a** characters. The main "protagonist" has no motivation to commit anything in the film, (the film maker throws in fear mongering audio montages in place of motivation and depth). The technical aspects are just as weak as the characters, its like it's shot on an early 2000s quality hand-held camera, the quality of picture changes from shot to shot (480p to 720p). and the action is horribly chopped up. This is disgusting and is only made for shock value, If you gave a depressed violent teenager "going through a phase" a camera, this would be the result. weak story, weak characters, weak direction, and pretentious symbolism to make even college art film students roll their eyes.

Maybe i went into it with the wrong expectations. I knew Uwe Boll is not a good director. In fact i think he is really terrible. I wanted a stupid and brutal movie about a guy going on a killing spree.I got a movie where maybe 1/3 is the killing spree, without gore or extensive blood. The other 2/3 where complete nonsense with the most stupid reason to go on a killing spree i have ever heard of or could imagine, A really boring back story and characters that are as forgettable as it gets. This is one of the movies that are not even so bad they are funny, this is just a complete waste of time. I can not understand the rating on this site, it is way too high, i give 2/10 points.

RAMPAGE, possibly the best made of the Uwe Boll canon (although I'm far from having watched all of this notorious German director's movies), is a film that does exactly what it says on the tin - or the DVD case in this instance. It tells the story of a disaffected young man who finally snaps one day and goes on a gun-toting rampage in a storyline chillingly reminiscent of American newspaper headlines. There's little character depth to the narrative despite attempts on the part of scriptwriter Boll to get into the head of his lead, and as a downside the production is padded out even though it comes up under length. The numerous flash-forward scenes early on in the film which reveal what's to come later on are just lazy and take away from the surprise and horror when it happens.Saying that, the actual scenes of the rampage are very well achieved, starkly effective and frighteningly brutal with it. For this part of the film, Boll keeps his camera tricks and his subtext to a minimum, focusing instead on delivering the narrative through action. It's hard-hitting, well-shot and shocking with it. Not exactly a film you can enjoy, then, but one to be experienced instead. A sequel, RAMPAGE: CAPITAL PUNISHMENT, followed.

Film in the first place - is unique in its "habitat." Unique cinema from Uwe Boll, who often makes films far from universally accepted rules and stereotypes there every ... This work, I believe, so far - his best creation. The plot is based on the idea that supposedly could really splash out in real life and in a sense, what happens, but in a different format. We, Uwe Boll and screenwriter, showed that this version of events. Influence on which justified the influence of the same "wrong" of the world, which often introduces some people, in a figurative sense, in its specific FURY, FURY. Each different and someone just keeps playing on existing rules of life, adjusting and adapting to this environment live in their role and playing it. But here we see that the director and writer, show that there are people who absolutely do not want to succumb to the standards of conventional thinking. And they start looking for their way of life, which is different from the standards, and find themselves in critical thinking other that the rejection based on their confirmation and often categorically unacceptable for the average person. The final result which can be extremely unpredictable. That the director showed us in his version. In this sense - is a unique cinema. This creature trumpeted good enough level. The only drawback, although I know Uwe Boll does not think so, namely - is cruelty and barbarism, which is shown to us, although it is reasonable reflections of the protagonist, or, - the script. This film - a film example of this embodiment, and explanation of the events that could occur suddenly in our real world, behind the camera and games. And sometimes occur if occur. More as an option for consideration.
