"The details of my life are quite inconsequential. Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with a low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a 15 year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts for being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genus possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, Luge lessons. In the spring we would make meat helmets, when I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe, and at the age of 14 a Zoroastrian named Vilma, ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, its breathtaking, I suggest you try it." - Dr. Evil^ Just one of the reasons why this film is the greatest comedy of all time.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery is a 1997 spy action comedy film. There are some funny moments in this movie but in pieces.Dr. Evil's character was not fully developed. There are multiple plot holes in the script.Should have focused much on script before making it.I think movie is overrated.Currently its IMDb rating is 7 but it does not deserve more than 6.You can still watch this movie if you don't believe in a good story and logic.Overall I give it 5/10.

Goofy, cheesy, and corny, but what did you expect? A lot of it was made up of dumb unsophisticated juvenile humor, but it was still funny enough to keep me entertained and interested. Some of it got a little old like turning every word into a sexual reference or making certain scenes too drawn out. It was also fun to see secondary characters being played by unknowns at the time like Will Ferrel, Brian George, and Seth Green. The appearance of the movie was also stylish, aesthetically pleasing and of course groovy. The most enjoyable part of the film was the spoof-like nature of it. It made fun of spy shows from the 60's and parodied (my favorite part) the beginning James Bond movies by including situations, lines, and similar characters straight from those overrated classics.

This was an enjoyable experience. Mike Myers found a way to take a well-known spy icon and make him feeble-minded yet at the same time, gain our affection for him from start to finish. A very smart and original idea that would have backfired if the material was handed to someone else. The movie follows Austin Powers frozen from the 60s and thawed to resume his life in the contemporary 90s.Elizabeth Hurley joins him as the sexy sidekick and together, they must stop Dr. Evil from taking over the world through power & extortion. Austin has to save the day while trying to blend into the modern world. There are plenty of great laughs and pop culture references that are similar to what Myers did in Wayne's World. Here, the jokes are fresh and the character is so memorable, even though he has his flaws.I can safely say that this is the best in the series yet. The other two sequels aren't as good, but they're all still a bunch of fun to watch. This was the era when Mike Myers was truly in the strongest position of his career. Before you see the other two, give this one a watch and have a few laughs with some friends!
