Am i the only one who thinks........Average?
When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
This movie is rally bad, it justify the act of terrorism teying to humanize the terrorist its an espectacular operation its sad to see how the makers told the story missing some important facts that happened in real life and the disindormacion about the conflict and the origin of the conflict. Really sad to see somerhing like this.
Unfortunately for all of us, in this film that is inspired by the true events of the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to Paris, there is no Israeli commandos to rescue us.Despite action movie director José Padilha (Elite Squad) at the helm in "7 Days in Entebbe" there is simply no life to be found. Basically, it lacks any real connection to the people partaking on either side. Surprisingly, the most involving dramatic strand is not with the imperiled innocent families and their gun-toting captors, but inside the chambers of government in Israel. Neither a rousing military showcase nor a barbed commentary on the Middle East, fim is just unsatisfying and forgettable. 5/10.
I guess I don't understand the need to insert dance scenes into a movie that is overtly sympathetic to terrorism. It seems that this "take" on actual events is a way for people who agree with terrorists and their methods to demonstrate to the viewer that terrorists are good people.Kill innocent men, women and children? Sure, as long as it is for a politically correct cause. Kill the terrorists who are targeting and killing your civilian population? Those people may not be so good, and people on their side probably deserve to die.Anyone who thinks that the murder of innocent persons is a good thing has a seriously disturbing mental illness.Anyone. Who thinks that. Hitler thought like this. Stalin thought like this. Pol Pot thought like this. Apparently, many in Hollywood think like this.
THE CONCEPT IS GOOD, BUT THE STORY GETS LOST IN TOTALLY NON IMPORTANT CHARACTERS, SUCH AS A NORMAL SOLDIER, HIS WIFE AND HER DANCES!. I TRULY EXPECTED A GREAT FILM SUCH AS "RAID IN ENTEBBE" WITH DETAILED PLANNING, MILITARY PRACTICE AND AN AMAZING MILITARY RESCUE OPERATION WITH MANY DETAILS. BUT INSTEAD, DURING THE MILITARY OPERATION, IT SHOWS MORE OF THIS NON RELATED TO THE STORY WOMAN AND HER GROUP DANCE PERFORMANCES OVER AND OVER, WHICH IS KINDA ANNOYING AND SENSELESS. A BIT OF THAT IN THE BEGINNING OR END WOULD HAVE BEEN OK. BUT MIXING THE ACTUAL MILITARY RESCUE WITH PERFORMING DANCERS -WHILE ARTISTIC AND GREAT DANCERS-, IT SPOILS ALL THE MILITARY ACTION AND DRAMA, WHICH SHOULD BE THE FOCUS OF THE WHOLE STORY... THERE IS ALSO BARELY ANY MENTION ABOUT THE MAIN CHARACTERS AND THE FALLEN HERO OF THE WHOLE OPERATION YONI (YONATAN NETANYAHU) , AND ALSO FAILS TO SHOW OR MENTION IDI AMIN'S RETALIATION ON THE KENYAN CITIZENS FOR THEIR SUPPORT TO THE ISRAELIS. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT MOVIE IF ONLY SHOWING MORE DETAILS ABOUT ALL MAIN TRUE CHARACTERS AND MORE ABOUT THE ACTUAL OPERATION... SORRY, BUT I STICK TO THE FILM "RAID IN ENTEBBE" OF 1976.
