best movie i've ever seen.
Admirable film.
Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Illegal drilling releases a prehistoric shark into a lake. Three girls make it to an island in that lake, realising they can't get back into the water and they're stuck on that island. A couple of criminals led by an evil lady in black are also on that island, facing the same problem. While the people on the island are fighting each other rather than working together against the common threat, the shark gets hungry...The story isn't all bad, and some camera work with the underwater shots, or hovering just above the water surface, shows some basic skills. The four main problems of this amateur movie are: 1) sound. Repetitive dramatic music tries to hide that many noises of the action and the surrounding nature are simply missing. 2) acting. The guys and girls are sympathetic, but inexperienced. 3) location. This "island" is obviously the coast of a rather small lake, it destroys the credibility of the story. 4) sloppy continuity. People fall into the water, swim to the island and arrive with clean, dry clothes. I mean, it is pointless to accuse a low budget production of cheap effects, because they can't afford the million dollar computer tricks and that's life. But if you don't bother to pour some water and mud over the actors to make it look more real, which doesn't cost you a penny, then you just don't care about the movie you are making, and this is annoying.
Since full movies are long complicated things and the Sun is expected to incinerate the Earth within the next few billion years with a solar flare, I don't have time to describe the unimaginably vast awfulness of this pustule on the metaphorical being that is the film industry, and so you will have to imagine for me that all films are desserts, since these are much simpler. The Jurassic Shark cake is the kind of monstrosity you will chance upon once in your life while attending a do hosted by a distant relative with distinctly bad breath. Where one bite of this disgrace is enough to bring a tear of pure disgust that you share blood with this super villain, the great "Uncle Badbreath" whose superpowers consist of both hosting the most boring parties and inhuman knowledge of which ingredients taste the worst together. The kind of cake that is so bad you immediately spit it out, note it looks no different, then powerfully defecate towards this "Uncle Badbreath" partly to eject any stray detritus and partly as a fecal demonstration of your hatred to the result of his powers.Would recommend.
This is by far the most amazing movie ever produced. In my opinion, the plot was only exceeded by the most cutting edge animations. Seriously, how can Hollywood live without those guys! Oh, I forgot. The actors are most most most talented! I want to point out especially the performance of Stiernacken (the bolt guy) who again and again surprised with his high level skills.Concerning the plot, it was well written. By the way, if you look carefully you might find two unlocked cars near the lake. ;) I'm looking very much forward to watch part 2 and 3 but I strongly doubt that they can top this movie which is the best produced movie of all time - by far! Thank you for the dubbing into German - so even me could enjoy this movie! This is a 100/10 movie! Have fun watching guys! Kind regards, Jurassic Shark fan No 1
I have only myself to blame for the 75 minutes of my life I wasted watching this 'movie'. Upon first opening the DVD case I found that ominously, a previous person to have watched this, had felt compelled to handwrite a review & leave it inside as a warning to any potential future viewers. This synopsis advised of the film's poor content but against my better judgement, I decided to watch it anyway.First off, the positives; *some* of the actors do try to make themselves believable as human beings. That's where the positives end.I guess you can only work with what you've got though, and what they have is a tedious and far-fetched script (even for a film of this genre), a flimsy plot & a cheap set (one scene is set in an actual stairwell). Add to that the shark 'effects' & the whole thing just makes you feel sorry for anyone who has their name attached to it.It is laugh-out-loud funny at times although this is obviously not their intention. Watch at your own peril!
