This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

What a wonderful film, both actresses are able to exude the emotions with dialogue and more importantly without dialogue, but with subtlety, which is as rare as it is great to watch. The underlying emotions are complex, which makes the film pull you in. The emotions are totally universal and you can connect to them regardless of your personal preferences. Good Premise, good writing, good directing and great casting and acting. I'm dying to know what happens after the end of the film, which makes it a 10. The only detraction at all is the lack of background with Mal...there was a story there, but it was a missed opportunity....so a 9

When I read the synopsis for this movie, I expected a slow, sappy TV movie. So I was pleasantly surprised to find a good script, evenly paved with great direction that was well shot and well cast. I'm glad Marina Rice Bader appears to be moving toward writing and directing. She even stars in this, which is usually a deal-breaking no-no for me, but she's great in front of the camera - and really this role begged for it.I actually wish this had been a series. I felt there was a lot of mileage to be had from these characters, it was almost a shame to wrap it up.

I rarely write a review, with that being said this movie is as real as it gets with true emotion and two actors who just have such great chemistry. Two very gifted actors whom I have not seen before as well as the rest of the cast and director. The movie is done with class and integrity, there are very few intimate love scenes that enhance the film even more. A film like this needs to garner more attention as it pulls you in with such emotion, Its not a movie you can watch just once and if you don't get the theme and find it uninteresting well that would be a shame, as the film puts it " Love is a high " and anyone who has ever fallen in love knows how wonderful and toxic it can be.

most lesbian romance movies tend to focus on just the sexual aspect of the story and disregard the real emotional and human aspect.Anatomy is able to avoid that predictability by instead pitting two women with negativity with regards to each other and shows how despite their indifference and anger at each other, the feelings are still real and still there. despite taking place in less than a day, its portrays the angry, resentment, and passion between the two characters surprisingly well. and after showing all the anger and hate, it also gives the audiences a glimpse into the love that exists underneath it all in the ending sex scene.it also devotes the movie to the post-breakup phase, a time that is generally not given this much emphasis in romance movies and thereby allows the movie to have a sense of originality to it.
