Matt, a young glaciologist, soars across the vast, silent, icebound immensities of the South Pole as he recalls his love affair with Lisa. They meet at a mobbed rock concert in a vast music hall - London's Brixton Academy. They are in bed at night's end. Together, over a period of several months, they pursue a mutual sexual passion whose inevitable stages unfold in counterpoint to nine live-concert songs.

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

I am not a huge One Direction fan, but it is not because I do not consider them a talented band. And I do use the term band, because that term no longer is just used to describe those that play instruments. I think they are very talented, and I am actually enjoying their newer music, the songs they wrote themselves, more than some of the songs in this film. It is interesting seeing the five of them in this considering Zayn is no longer with them. Even in this, he did not seem to enjoy himself on stage as much as the other boys. But then again, that could just be hindsight. Overall, I thought this was a great concert film. It allows a lot of fans who, for whatever reason are unable to go to a show, to feel like they are there.

what is sad about this movie is this is not a real band.the real band is behind them doing the music for them.they do have one member who can play guitar but that doesn't make a band.who would put a group of guys together who can't play music?someone who is trying to manipulate little girls thats who.and looks like it's working,or least until these guys grow up and start looking like men.which will happen soon.you can't progress musically if you can't play music.so the same fate awaits these guys that happened to the same groups before them that couldn't play music either.nsync, backstreet boys, new kids on the block.one direction fans have no standards or it would bother them that they like a group in music who doesn't have enough talent to even play music.thats like someone in art who has someone paint for them and then they take credit for it.plus these guys hire writers to write songs for them.then they buy the songs and add their name to them.this is not talent.
