This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Or it is probably more of an epilogue. Wilson Gonzalez and his father Uwe Ochsenknecht do not even appear in this film anymore and Jimi Blue is only in it at the very beginning and end. Still he got first billing for some reason. Leon was turned into stone by a bunch of vampires and needs to be rescued after missing for almost a year. Of course, it is Vanessa's love that sets him free in the end. Really cheesy scenes. This film sucks just like all the other four of this movie franchise. Joachim Masannek has come up with consistently horrible movie-making over no less than 5 films in 6 years. Probably a fairly unique achievement. As the Ochsenknecht sons (especially the older one) cannot act at all, I had some hope this could actually be a bit better with both out of it for (almost) the entire film, but I was wrong. The writing is as bad as always and none of the other kids can deliver really convincing performances either. It also does not help that this movie is almost as long as the fourth and longer than the first three films. The vampires were downright embarrassing, in terms of makeup and storyline. This film came out shortly before Twilight and compared to Edward and his gang, the characters here are a complete joke. There were supernatural elements in previous films as well, mostly the witch in the second. Gries looks a bit different compared to older films. She has developed into an attractive young woman by now and it seems unrealistic that she would fall for a boyish character like Leon. To me, it is a mystery how Jimi Blue won a New Faces Award for this film as he was already in four other films before that and rarely appears in here. A complete joke. Glad the franchise was over with this. Not one of the five films has any quality features that make it worth a watch and by now, they do not even have anything to do with football anymore. They want to make us believe otherwise with the one sequence they included randomly, but even that was a failure. Do yourself a favor and stay far far aways from this piece of crap.
