Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
the audience applauded
For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
As I've said in the summary, it's not the worst you'll see. There is many little moments when this film shows spark and a chance to really show everyone how good they are at writing, but unfortunately they just don't do it. The acting isn't the best and they movement of the story in the majority is quite slow. It did however grip me to know what on earth was going on but it was a shame for me when the film was coming to and end that after spending time to watch this film, I;m not any closer to understanding what 11:11 REALLY had to do with the overall story. I would say that if you want a bit of a scare without much gore, then watch this! It's not as bad as some people are saying...but I wouldn't want to see it again!
Was a college acting class exercise filmed and released as a movie? The formulaic posturing and stylized drivel of a "horror" soap opera for people who don't like horror films but wish to be able to tell that friends that, yes, they did see a horror movie. It even features soap opera music.Do books falling off library shelves scare you? Do doors shutting terrify you? Then this flick is for you. Have you ever been kidnapped? Yeah, most of us have. When you were raped, was it simply ignored, because the rapist was the cool kid? What's scary is not this movie but this filmmaker's view of the world. And then the little twists aren't even original. This is a film for people who've never seen a horror film before, who don't want to see one now, and who want to see another flick about everyone conspiring against the weird kid.
I understood the whole movie, i'm gifted and into demonology and the occult research and as a child raised roman catholic (not anymore the cult religion didn't make any sense) so i know of what they are talking of, the course she seems to have been taking is Parasychology meaning paranormal research. This past September Mars was visible as the moon as predicted. Now the rest gave me curiosity into going further into the war between heaven and hell and what earth and the beings on it have to do to prepare themselves to survive or for the new change. Will the world end or will it just begin anew from a new point, who will be used as puppets and used to how you say " hold down the fort".
11:11 was a total impulse viewing for me. It sounded cool, I had the money to check it out, and I did. It's a well made, unpretentious chiller, taking it's cues from both The Omen and Don't Look Now (NB: Despite the box art shamelessly ripping off the US Ring art, 11:11 is NOTHING like Ring. Sorry to burst that bubble). It doesn't quite reach the giddy heights of those two classics and is by no means as well made (in fact, the editing suggests this was originally a TV movie), but it has a lot to offer in the way of chills and spills.I found some of this movie downright terrifying, something I don't often find with horror, as I've watched a somewhat ridiculous amount of genre flicks in recent years so have become a little numb to terror in most shapes or forms. However, certain scenes in 11:11 did a serious number on me, especially those involving the mother's ghost. I've gotta give it respect for delivering the goods scare-wise.In fairness to other reviewers, some of the movie is patchy, especially the acting in parts. It's also not a balls-to-the-wall horror movie, taking a much more psychological approach to terror, and not knowing what to expect I was fine with this, but expect a gun-toting demon-slayer type film or a Jason 'I kill you, I kill your mother, I kill your goldfish, I even kill your plants' style slasher and you'll be bored to tears. For me though, 11:11 presents a nice change of pace that while still old-school is refreshingly different.
