The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

Dee and Dawn are two dim-witted, pink-clad, blond ladies whom meet by accident and try to make a living with their dull lives, until a series of circumstances ensue when after they unwittingly take jobs at a local strip club, they are mistaken for two deadly female brunette assassins known only as the Cat and the Kit whom are hired to kill the club owner whom is a mobster in a witness protection program. The actresses are beautiful for sure but 'Blonde and Blonder' feels like a rip-off of 'Dumb and Dumber' and actually? not a good one either.

I know comedy is subjective. This movie is not able to make me smile. It was painfully slow and boring. The jokes got so prolonged they actually got tedious. the acting was horrid beyond comparison. The story made no sense. The music is bland. Watch other movie. Seriously, unless you want to fall asleep.

I was looking for a cute, simple comedy to pass the time but choosing this film proved to be an enormous mistake.I can't write a single good thing about it. First, the script is stupid and not funny at all, relying on tired, recycled jokes and a farting turtle for laughs. In my book, that's not funny, that's pathetic.Low budget 'effects' (if I can even call them effects) with horrible cinematography. In many places it feels almost like an indie film shot with no money.Acting... I feel sorry for the actors. Are Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards that desperate for some money that they've agreed to take part in this? (looking at their recent filmography, it would appear so.) Despite the outfits, Pamela is showing her age and as a whole, they don't even come across as sexy, let alone funny. This movie is not even in the so-bad-it-is-funny category. It's just bad, as if everybody involved was sick of it.Avoid.

Pamela Anderson hasn't exactly set the world alight since the heady days of "Baywatch", and Denise Richard's career has pretty much gone in the same direction since "Starship Troopers", so with Anderson credited as executive producer as well as main star, the words "Be afraid. Be very afraid" were flashing inside my brain in great big neon forty-foot letters. The DVD was deep in the bargain basement bin in my local store, so I wasn't expecting much. It looked like it could be a laugh though. Mind you, Anderson is the wrong side of 40, and Richards is in her late thirties, both of whom playing characters who should really be played by much younger actresses in their early twenties. It's not original - the girls think that "taking Mr Wong out" means taking him on a date and not doing a mob hit on him. That's about as sophisticated as it gets - Two dumb blondes who don't have a clue about what is going on around them. At least the writers avoid the use of too much toilet humour apart from the farting turtle, while most of the production money probably went on Anderson and Richards matching wardrobes and the final speedboat chase scene. What you're looking at here is basically a female version of "Dumb and Dumber". It'll never win any Oscars, but the fact they have already announced a sequel means that no matter what the critics thought, some people actually sat down and watched this film and it made a decent profit, so its clearly not all that rubbish. It helps if you switch your brain off, and if you do, you'll probably find that this film is a fair bit of fun. I do hope they re-cast some younger actresses for the sequel though. This is a franchise that could go somewhere. 6/10
