Godzilla: Final Wars
Humanity finally rids themselves of Godzilla, imprisoning him in an icy tomb in the South Pole. All is peaceful until various monsters emerge to lay waste to Earth's cities. Overwhelmed, humanity is seemingly saved by a race of benevolent aliens known as Xiliens. But not all is what it seems with these bizarre visitors. If humanity wishes to survive, they must reluctantly resurrect their most hated enemy, Godzilla.

Very best movie i ever watch
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
I've only seen Godzilla: Final Wars twice in my life and the very first time I watched it and seen that ball of fire coming to earth, I knew that it wasn't a planet as the Xilions had said it was. I just felt that it was (excuse the pun) more than meets the eye. When Godzilla blasts it and you see that it is indeed a monster, I laughed as I knew who it was right away. If any of you are a monster fan like I am you would've realized that there was only 1 monster that ever came from outer space. you can call it Ghidrah or King Ghidora, but they are one in the same monster. Sure one is green in color and the other is gold in color but when you put 2 and 2 together you get the same monster.
Even hardcore Godzilla fans will have a hard time swallowing "Godzilla: Final Wars". Sure there are plenty of monsters in the film, but none of them have any presence and aside from a few monsters, they have very little screen time overall. Some monsters appear for less than five minutes, only to display how "Awesome" Godzilla is when he effortlessly blows them away. Really, what's the point? This isn't going to win the big guy any new fans, and old fans won't be seeing anything new, since this is a retread of "Destroy all Monsters". The dialog is very bad, the characters are cliché and the story is lazy. Despite the good special effects and large roster of monsters, this is one of the worst entries in the series because while it really just feels like a 13 year old played one of the "Godzilla" fighting games, drew his own "most awesome Godzilla story ever" and turned it into a film (Dvd, March 2012)
This is by far the worst Godzilla movie since 1975, yes worse then G-98. All of the characters are terrible except for Captain Gordon. The plot is a mess of pointlessly short monster fights and bad facial expressions. All of the "location" shots are terribly lit and poorly executed. The lighting is WAY to overexposed and the sound editing is dreadfully inconsistent. the Godzilla suit itself is a joke it looks like the Showa Godzilla took a sh*t. the monster action is bad and so obviously rushed that it takes you out of the movie. for a movie with a 19 million dollar budget this movie is a gigantic failure and personally GMK, Godzilla Tokyo SOS and Godzilla 2000 could have all been a better ending to the series, Tokyo SOS especially. The Music in this movie is so laughably bad and poorly executed that it takes away from the sometimes awesome effects scenes. The CGI is absolutely TERRIBLE for 2004. This movie had a ton of promise and I actually enjoyed it when I was a kid, but having just re-watched this movie i'm so disappointed.
When the aliens Xilians invade Earth, they release monsters to destroy the big cities. The Earth Defense Force formed by mutants is incapable to defeat the creatures. Commander Douglas Gordon (Don Frye) decides to unleash Godzilla that has been trapped for many years to fight against the monsters. Godzilla becomes the last hope on Earth to vanquish the evil aliens and the powerful Gigan. The overrated "Gojira: Fainaru uôzu" a.k.a. "Godizlla – Final Wars" is a cheesy and long mess with lame special effects. It is funny to see the crew speaking Japanese and Douglas Gordon speaking in English. My vote is four.Title (Brazil): "Godzilla – Batalha Final" ("Godzilla – Final Battle")
