Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.
One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Without any regard to driving out in the desert in a Dodge Charger, a woman sets out to find herself. She soon turns up against a small gang of misfits that have been hunting another individual. She not only does not get away in time, they catch up with the individual and kill him; before they set their sights on her. The rest of the movie involves them torturing and killing her – or so they are lead to believe. This girl is apparently either a hunter or she is really, really filled with resolve to take her tormentors down. The rest of the movie is spent with men being terrified as their numbers are picked off, one-by- one, as a woman goes primitive amazon on them. She not only boasts superior hunting skills, but she manages to steal the show. Really, the main tormentors act like rabid dogs until they become the hunted and turn in terror; they attempt one last attempt to sabotage the woman's attempts at revenge and it slowly fails miserably. The movie is not necessarily what I would call a good watch; but for those that like horror movies with lots of action and development; this may be able to fix that itch.
Sweet, deaf girl is randomly savaged to death by a bunch of desert yahoos. But the spirit of another victim revives her corpse, and the revenge is unstoppable.Moral stuff really bores me and I don't much like revengers, but it's a good 'un. This time we get into over-the-top supernatural gore, with good style and sympathetic characters, plus touches of humour. The story is the usual nonsense of suburban superior to rural (with a dose of US racial prejudice), but I liked almost everything – direction, editing, cinematog, pace & action, with a plot that winds up steadily. Some decent real-effect gore, restrained on the sex, scent of cheese on the CGI.Acting is good, with the best line: "My, oh my – something dead has been living in here." Dialogue gets heavy in a bloated end sequence with lots of exposition. The only other drawback is the over-use of music – often perfect, but let me figure it out for myself.Overall, a moral story so not a true horror, but well told.
You wouldn't expect much from a movie which mixes a standard vengeance horror with a zombie movie, and when you throw in a low budget too, your expectations go even lower. But prepare to be pleasantly surprised.I missed the first few minutes of the film, but what I caught was very tautly written with just the right amount of pathos to leave you rooting for the vengeful zombie girl, and enjoying every kill. At the same time it gave you just the right amount of back story to draw you in without spoiling the pace.About the only weak bit was the final 5-10 minutes; I won't reveal any details but it was dragged out past it's natural finishing point, and at the end you can't help but feel the innocent survivors are going to have one helluva job explaining things to the authorities...
Whoo... That was something. When i started watching this i had no idea that its gonna blow my mind into millions of pieces. Everything in this movie was just beyond imagination because of flawless performance by Amanda Adrienne. I am her new fan starting today. I am overwhelmed by the cinematography and effects. I was like WTF when i saw that first kill, i have seen thousands of kills in movies with lots of special effects but i have to say this was the best of all. Amanda did a splendid job playing the deaf girl in town. The way she was killing those f***kers was awesome. The way they r**ed and wronged her was horrible and intolerable, But she did what she had to do what she was meant to do.I don't believe that this movie is so underrated. I guess its because of the ending. I don't like it either, her boyfriend just burned her like nothing. And to think he spend many days finding her and when at last he did, all he could do was burn her to dust? Are you fu***ing kidding me!!! He should at least have said a proper goodbye with a nice hug or something. That was something i didn't expected, to be honest the whole movie was unexpected for me. Anyway we can hope she saved lots of other girls in future(who might become their next target) by finishing the bastards for all eternity.Really man i am impressed... Respect for the main cast and all the people who made such a MASTERPIECE.10/10 (Great casting, great cinematography, great effects, great story)
