The Last Pope?
The Last Pope?
St. Malachy, a Catholic Priest in the early 1100s, received a vision that gave him a motto for all the Popes from his time "to the end of time." The total number of Popes from Celestine II till the end would be 111 according to St. Malachy's prophecy. In the late 1950's or early 60's the Catholic Church added the 112th whose motto was given as "Peterus Romanus." This presentation provides a summary of Malachy's prophecy, describes the reasons that Benedict XVI is the last Pope, the 111th, and the consequences for the church and the world.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

My dad gave me this movie years ago when I was a teenager and I decided to pull it back out and rewatch it. Although I do agree that the concepts presented in this movie are much more complex then depicted, this certainly does give you a very basic understanding of the Law of Attraction in layman's terms. For a better understanding on quantum physics and the Law of Attraction I prefer "What the bleep do we know?" as it goes into much more detail. I don't care for the continued focus on acquiring material and monetary gain as mentioned frequently throughout the movie. However, I believe this is just used for example to understand the concept.Ultimately, I believe that the concept that one is responsible for his or her own destiny is the hardest thing for most individuals to accept. This is evident through the large number of negative reviews. This requires a thought process that transcends the ego which is the real challenge to achieve. Our ego lends itself towards negativity and negative thinking which is readily apparent in this forum. Victimizing oneself, comparing ones circumstances to another, recalling previous tragedy/focusing on past circumstances, name-calling, envy, etc are just some of the presented arguments. The thought that individuals who are happy and successful in life obtained that by ideal life circumstances, instead of hard work and dedication is one example. The thought that happy, successful individuals have never experienced any hardships or tragedies in life is another. Once we are able to transcend those thoughts we are able to free ourselves from barriers we placed on our own minds.

I thought the idea of this concept was good, and there is an element of truth. But only an element. The fact of the matter is there are positive and negative experiences that people face. To believe you caused every health issue, every broken heart, etc. Is not only wrong but is actually quite destructive. Is a happier person healthy? Or what about when they are cured.... Are they all of a sudden happy people? Is a sick child that way because they are unhappy? If you really dig into it you can see the lies. That being said I do believe in faith and that prayer leads to positive outcomes. That's not the type of faith in the movie though. In the movie you get what you ask for no matter how horrible bc you are emitting that frequency to the universe. In a faith based religion you are simply trusting that a greater being is keeping watch over you. It does not rely on you really except that obviously you need to at least be trying. For example you can't win the lottery if you never buy a ticket. That's just common sense. There are many, many things that I've asked for it and received it. Some just happened randomly, most I worked hard to receive. There are also negative things that I did not ask for and received. So I I take the positive and negative experiences which shape my overall being..whether that be good or bad. Still we exist of outside of these experiences. Like a dream, we are a part of it but also not a part of it.So that would really be my "secret" for life. Be goal oriented, but live in the moment. Don't let experiences define you, but believe in a higher being.

Are we really still so infantile in this day and age that we can instantly recognize ridiculousness instantly? Yes, we should always try and think positive. That's about it. I mean for people to try and sell and make others believe that this movie has answers is not only preposterous, but just sad. I am imagining and wishing this movie be deleted forever.... Is it gone? hmmm I guess it doesn't work. I could only stand about 2 minutes of this wanna be Dianetics belief system before i had to shut if off. Don't waste your time people. What they are trying to sell you on has no basis and is no way of basing your life 's journeys.

but fake. because it is one of temptation for a world searching its sense. because it is an exercise, not bad, to replace the faith with a kind of almighty yourself. sure, it is beautiful, wise and correct. the answer to every day problems/crisis/unhappiness is so easy ! but it remains a trap. nothing more. because all fairy tale atmosphere is only form to ridiculing real values. to create a fast food culture. to lie and transform the people in new puppets. not, it is not a revelation. not, it is not expose of truth. it is only a discourse of falsehood. nothing more. a scientist mask to remove values and transform life in a joke. an error. and, in same measure, an answer. to fear, to need of consolation, to hurry angry. nothing else.
