Pretty Good
A Major Disappointment
It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Yes, this movie is based on the real life tragedies and events that led to multiple miracles. There was more than one miracle, hence the title is misleading. If you are looking for something clean to watch and is a tear-jerker, this is the one for you. Yes, this is considered a Christian movie. But why is it that this label makes people want to shun away from the obvious itself? This is why you see low ratings and rationales. But a movie that had Satan worship, demons, spells, witchcraft, dead bike riders are claimed as amazing, but I digress. This is an amazing movie, if you take it for what it is then you can have hope in miracles and be more open to what God is trying to tell you. If you take it for a good movie based on real events, then do so. But know that the events are REAL. Keep that in mind.
i like true stories that end with a happy ending. really when little kids are in there and that everyone did what they could to help each other. yes bad things still happen even if people do have faith and believebut i also like this take where you don't know and cant prove that faith didn't help in it.i think its really worth watching. even if you don't agree with all of it.and this wasn't even a block buster movie either and i like that at the end they gave some real facts to. but i would like to know if they kids really saw something or not. it didn't really say.
I found this movie to be a feel good great movie and yes the acting and effects were not the best I still found it engaging and tugged at the heart stringsThis movie was not made to win awards or make celebrities, this movie was created to let people know of the miracle that happened on that day 30 years ago and I believe it did just that for me.There are a few parts that could've been adjusted probably with a larger budget, but if i wanted CG graphics and special effects I would watch something elseThe fact that I had never even heard of this real life miraculous story until now makes me rate it even higher. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone interested, the world could use a little more movies like this.
This is a film about faith. I imagine many people who watch it may be aware of that beforehand. But if you weren't, and it projects ideals you disagree with, it is best to acknowledge that in a civil, thoughtful, non-attacking way. Often, if I am critical of material I find offensive (excessive, gratuitous violence and gore, or pornography) I get the injured (and ironically, almost pious) response of "Well, if you don't want to see it, don't watch it." Then they adamantly add "But don't criticize my choices or get in my way." And they cite the First Amendment. That works in both directions. Realize it. Acknowledge it. Embrace it.
