After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

Every now and then there is a sequel that is just miles ahead of it's predecessors. Rare I know but this is one of them. Vastly superior to the first two and I like all the Home Alone movies although #2 was mildly nauseating. I suspect the low ratings for this movie have more to do with familiarity with the original actors rather than whether or not it's a bad movie. Excellent story, excellent actors, well directed, and very funny. Thoroughly enjoyed it. "Over this Under, over". Ha ha cracks me up every time.

John Hughes disappoints in this one. This film is that of the most ridiculous, over-the-top I have ever seen (besides mega shark vs giant squid, that was abysmal).First of all, the traps in this movie would kill ya! No way did that bloke fall down 4 stories, landing on his back, to then walk away like nothing happened. No way did those two fellas jump into sub-zero waters and walk out like they just got out the shower or sum ting. The most ludicrous part of this movie was when the geezer with the budget roller skates did a front flip down some stairs. WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?!?!This film offended me. Overall I give it a 1 :)It was pretty funny though, watch it if you fancy some laughs just do not watch it with your kids!

Home Alone 3 (1997):Dir: Raja Gosnell / Cast: Alex D. Linz, Hoviland Morris, Seth Smith, David Thornton, Olek Krupa: It was bad enough that Home Alone 2 was a Xeroxed copy of Home Alone but Home Alone 3 is a Xerox of a Xerox. A chip has been planted in a toy to make it past airport security but the wrong person picks it up and it ends up in Chicago. The villains seeking the chip are spotted by young Alex D. Linz but police do not buy his story. The parents exists for the purpose of going to work while Linz booby traps the house in wait for the villains. Linz owns a mouse and a parrot that act upon his every command and this is stupid in itself in its dreadful presentation. The mouse crawls up someone's leg while someone else takes a swing at it with a crowbar. No points in guessing where the impact connects. Director Raja Gosnell provides the same story with absolutely no originality. He just adds a couple more crooks. Linz recites Macaulay Culkin and nobody cares. In lame appearances are Hoviland Morris, Seth Smith, and David Thornton who will likely not gain any recognition from this sh*t stain holiday crap. The crooks are four without the name actors wasting their talent looking stupid on camera. If you have seen Home Alone then you have seen Home Alone 3 and if you have seen Home Alone 3 then you have my deepest sympathy. Score: 1 / 10

Home Alone 3 is the second sequel of the film written and produced by John Hughes. The third film of the Home Alone franchise does not include actor Macaulay Culkin, composer John Williams and director Chris Columbus. This time,Alex D. Linz takes over Culkin for the lead role as Alex Pruitt,a resourceful boy is accidentally left alone and has to defend his home and battle a group of criminals. Raja Gosnell is the director of the film. Too bad that this becomes a repeat of the first film as the story become formulaic and predictable.Apart from being clichéd, it also does not provide anything original at all as it became barely entertaining and a joy to watch.Obviously,it is forgettable that one would obviously not that the third movie of the franchise isn't a charm at all.Sad but true.
