Evolution
A comedy that follows the chaos that ensues when a meteor hits the Earth carrying alien life forms that give new meaning to the term "survival of the fittest." David Duchovny, Orlando Jones, Seann William Scott, and Julianne Moore are the only people standing between the aliens and world domination... which could be bad news for the Earth.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
What I like about this movie is that not only funny, but also the aliens that come from the meteorite had been in many forms since their arrival. They come in many forms to wildlife except being hostile species and wanting to invade our world. For the characters being goofballs, it reminds me Ghostbusters in how to deal with these invasive creatures like how science is able to defeat them, same with the characters in Ghostbusters in how they invent technologies to defeat the ghosts. That's what makes the film impressive.
As would be fireman Wayne Grey practices in the Arizona desert a meteorite crashed to Earth just missing him. The next day Ira Kane and Harry Block, scientists who teach at the local college arrive to investigate. They find the meteorite in an underground cavern and take samples. When these are analysed by Kane he finds that it contains alien single celled organisms by the time he can show Block they have evolved into simple multi-celled organisms. They return to the cavern for a class trip and find that s contains many worm-like creatures. The next time they return to the site it has been taken over by the army and scientist Dr. Allison Reed. It emerges that Kane was previously thrown out of the army after an experimental vaccine he developed for soldiers had some very unpleasant side effects. Refused official entry they sneak in but are caught; Block also has an unpleasant encounter with a large alien insect. It isn't long before many larger creatures evolve and a man is eaten on a golf course and a group of women are attacked in their home. At this point the creatures die after brief exposure to our atmosphere but it isn't long before they have further evolved to breathe air. It is clear that if they continue to evolve at such a rate all native life, including humanity, will be doomed something must be done to stop the creatures but will it be Kane and his friends who stop them or the army? From the opening scene it is obvious that this is going to a comedy with plenty of laughs I was laughing before the alien meteorite even arrived! The laughs continue throughout the film but not at the expense of a solid story the same plot could have been used in a more serious film; it just wouldn't have been as much fun. Given the film's PG rating some of the gags are surprisingly crude; not excessively so but some parents might think it unsuitable for younger children. The cast does a fine job, notably David Duchovny and Orlando Jones as Kane and Block as well as Julianne Moore as Dr Reed and Seann William Scott as Wayne. The special effects are very good with some great looking alien creatures impressively brought to life I particularly liked the 'cute' alien that appeared in a woman's house. Overall this film is good silly fun that fans of films such as 'Men in Black' are likely to enjoy.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this movie until now.it' stars Stars Orlando Jones and David Duchovny as two professors/colleagues who stumble onto something out of this world.i won't give any more of the plot away than that.you'll have to see it for yourself.it's played for laughs and it comes by those laughs honestly.it's very funny.there are some hysterically funny scenes.but it's not just a comedy.it's also a sci/fi/adventure film.Julianne Moore, Ted Levine and Sean William Scott also star and are very good here.the wring is very good here with some great dialogue.of course this is just my opinion.for me,Evolution is a well deserved 8/10
a nice comedy, mixture of classic gags and scientific crumbs, smart, seductive, chaotic , hilarious. a crazy story and a good cast. and it is enough for a show who contains all comfortable ingredients. its success source - the imagination in right clothes. and the memories about X Files creates for David Duchovny a real advantage. Julianne Moore seems be the perfect choice for the cold scientist in search of adventure of her life. but the best remains Orlando Jones as the ambiguous, childish, crazy Harry Block. a film who reminds many invasions or contacts. but who preserves its charm not exactly for originality but for the manner to translate old fears in nice forms.
