Absolutely Fantastic
In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
"Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch" finds the cuddly rascal from another planet helping Lilo get ready for the big island hula contest. When there's a malfunction, his destructive programming is restored and he goes back to acting the way he did before he was "tamed." Will Stitch glitch out for good, or will he recover and repair his friendship with Lilo? This sequel might not be quite as good as the original, but it still has a lot of going for it. As a direct-to-DVD project, you can't expect the same animation quality as you get from a theatrical release. "Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch" is still a charming and thoughtful follow-up.
This is by far the best sequel I've seen as a DVD/video release from Disney. From all of the other sequels Disney made weren't as "enchanting", not a lot of work was put into (e.g., story plot, voice acting, score, music, etc.) although this movie is worth the purchase and the viewing! It even has a sort of twist in the movie (no spoiling!)To put it simply, here's how I'd put the movie:The Good: -animation stayed and true and original (as in "Lilo And Stitch" unlike "Stitch: The Movie" -the score qualifies well for a theatrical release -story and plot is deep and rich -had its "theatrical touch"The Bad: -having the movie with the length approximately 1 hour It's just too bad this movie wasn't released first as a Theatrical release. Probably for the reason of the short length of the movie although it is still definitely one that you should purchase, worth buying. This beats all the other Disney Sequels DVD releases. More work is put into this movie for a family fun film.*People who've seen "Lilo And Stitch" and "Stitch: The Movie" would definitely find this movie better and funny!!
In this movie, there is something wrong with Stitch ((aka the title)) and Jumba must try to fix him. Meanwhile, Lilo is trying to create a dance for hula class, but Stitch's glitch keeps messing things up. I thought this movie was very nice and interesting. The animation was just like the original, not the cheesy animation of some sequels I could mention... The scene at the end was very sad and depressing, though it had a Beauty and Beast theme to it. It really didn't add to the story and if it never came out, it wouldn't matter, but it was a very good movie just the same. My whole family saw it and they all agreed it was a good movie, one of Disney's better sequels. 4/5
I've seen this movie twice now with my daughters (ages 1 and 3) and we all loved it. The animation style is the same as the first film (unlike Stitch: the movie, which has a flatter, less painted look) and the voice acting was definitely on par with the original. the comedy was still just as fresh as the first, though some of the lines did seem a bit forced, but with this film being between the first film and Stitch: the movie, I can see why.Without spoiling anything, there is an emotional part in this film, so be warned that your kids (or you yourself) may get a bit teary. To tell you the truth, I cried, but my daughters didn't.I would recommend this to any fan of the original movie, or any Disney fan out there.
