Very best movie i ever watch
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
Thanks Netflix for letting me get a proper look at this drivel. Others have set down why this is a film to avoid so better you spend your time reading a few of them than 2 hours with this dross. "Naval Air Force"? WTH? Three pilots each ticking the PC boxes, cliches in this script abound especially the feeble attempt to sound like real aviators who this film totally insults. When there are fine technothriller books and writers out there why this cartoon junkery?
Three test pilots (Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx) are flying the latest experimental stealth fighter jet. Then they're informed that there will be a 4th in the program. It turns out to be an AI fighter. And it is much more than they expected. It's all about the CGI and things blowing up. For a testing program, there is a noticeable lack of danger. I would rather have the tests be more dangerous and more on-the-edge. Instead, it has to be one of the most boring big action opening. The aerial CGI has all the visuals of a video game. It doesn't have the excitement of the real thing. Top Gun this ain't.Then there are the three actors. They have all the subtlety that you expect. Meaning there is none. In the end, the action is pumped up with supersteroids, the music is blasting, and fails to generate any thrills at all. And don't even worry about logic or reason. There isn't any here. And the ending just keeps going and going. It doesn't get any more ridiculous.
Today I happened to watch the movie "Stealth" which was released in 2005. After watching the movie I must been able to say that in movies you can do anything. The EDI plane was just one fighter plane that wiped out Russian SU-37 aircraft, the best known fighter aircraft of the world, more so it was able to pull out an American Navy's female pilot from North Korea. I must say that there should be a limit to bullshit, but this movie surpasses all the levels of lies and fake story telling. If that one plane can play havoc then why US is maintaining such a large military force, just one plane can do the job. It was too many a kiddish movies which is allowed for teenagers to watch. This movie has had to be a greatest flop of cinema history as it has nothing in it except some bikini scenes and kiddish dog fight of a plane which never existed. The move shows destroying the entire company of North Korean soldiers were unable to catch an injured pilot; they should be ashamed for that. It was quite a waste of time and money both respectively. I gave this movie 3 out of 10.
I have no idea why this movie bombed. Yes, there are some rather glaring things that you need to overlook - but if you also consider that it IS a futuristic sci-fi, you can probably take the time to suspend reality to shrug, grin, and tell yourself, "Eh, okay. That's actually kind of cool." Is there anyone in this movie who can act? Nope. But they're quite sufficient for the fun.I have heard people whine that the things the aircraft do are absurd and impossible. Well.. it's a futuristic ultra-stealth battle aircraft! Maybe it can do that.Anyway, to stop being negative, this is just a fun film. Take it for what it is; a romp through jets, explosions, action banter and entertaining technology that may or may not ever exist.Honestly, having grown up where I did, with what I was around, and my career has taken me... the movie "Top Gun" isn't any better or worse. Just sit back, enjoy it, and watch Jessica Biehl struggle once more to graduate from high school thesbianism.Enjoy! (really)
