Fresh and Exciting
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Guy Ritchie is known more for his romance and marriage to Madonna but he is a very talented filmmaker and snatch is a prove of this. This dark comedy/crime caper is an absolute laugh riot with some amazing dialogues that will have you rolling and characters you will remember for months. Rooted in the London Underworld Snatch is about a stolen diamond and believe it or not- boxing. How these two come together is for you to see and judge. Great performances, tidy flow and expert direction makes Snatch a must watch.
Interesting movie about diamond's robbery and all kind of crazy situations after that....Russian Mob,Boxing illegal fights, black market...killers...Gypsies anyway a bunch of grubby gangsters...the movie was shooting so fast moving like a video clip style...weird situations.some really original and others not quite...a really good casting either taking the movie in a very pleasant experience, but there's some weak points indeed like the scene that Turkish throw away the milk box that causing a car accident and subsequent trampling, something like that made some damages in the picture itself... an of course a lack of sex women in the cast, the remaining is fine and funny and totally unexpected.....l really love this one!!
I get that at the time this came out, there weren't legions of such action packed convoluted rougher type comedies, but for crying out loud 'Lock' came out before this, by the same Guy Ritchie, and it was heaps better. If anything, strangely enough, it feels like Lock was the more mature film made some years later, not before. It's not as smooth in the action sequences, it's got too much talking that doesn't amount to much effect, pretty stupid braindead type dialog, supposedly witty but really completely forgettable banal lines, tries hard in many places; something like Brad Pitt's character was good in concept but honestly could've been much funnier in execution, they could've really made him sound hilarious when here he's just confusing to listen to.Where 'Lock' had lots of well incorporated subplots and micro-twists, this here gets overcomplicated too fast, too many characters, and the viewer can't be screwed to put in all that effort to remember insignificant details, as the film never makes it a point to warrant your full attention on every aspect of this very ordinary production. Too much focus demanded for far too little a reward.5.5/10.
One of the best comedies I've ever seen. At first, he misses a Little by its narrative style. The aesthetics of music videos, in principle Does something heavy, but soon becomes more sober and is a way of Interestingly, it accelerates the rhythm of the narration with that Effortless assembly work. In addition to the tortuous camera turns, We can also enjoy a dirty aesthetics of the underworld London, and those who have been there know what I mean. And since Then, the way we are following is especially brilliant. The wanderings of thugs who are the most shot in the world but Between murder and murder, or even within them, have their Moments of paradoxical philosophy that can not be more than shocking In a film of these characteristics.
