I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
An Exercise In Nonsense
Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Toy Story is one of my favorite Disney movies and was thrilled to see this in theaters. I wasn't born when the first came out and the 2nd released when I was a year old, but before this released a double feature came out and we went to see it even though we had the movies on VHS. So when the 3rd movie came out, I was pumped. I loved it. Then I re-watched it with a friend when I was about 16(I was almost 12 when this released) and realized it was not as appealing. looking back, it was mainly for the potty humor."Watch out for puddles." "I don't think those were Lincoln Logs." The escape from the bathroom scene. So that's why I give it an 8. But it still is a good movie and it is definitely worth watching!Fun Fact: This was nominated for Best Picture. The only other animated films to get BP nominations are Beauty and the Beast(1991) and Up(2009).
I am positively surprised in every way possible! Toy Story 3 is a spectacle of a movie to a spectacle of a franchise which has captured the hearts of millions of kids and adults from all over the world. In its (at the time of release) 15 year life span, Toy Story has done what most franchises fail at: 1. expanding its universe without getting repetetive or far-fetched. 2. Improving the animation 3. Showing an evolution in its characters (growing up, you can call it) 4. Adding new characters with depth and a purpose in the story. TS3 deals with yet another issue of being a kid which is inevitable, growing up! Andy is now going to college and must decide what to put his toys in the attic or throw them. They're accidentally thrown out and ends up in a daycare. From there they must find their way back. That's a great set-up, and TS3 is easily the most emotional and dramatic of all three movies. I admire how they managed to cram so much stuff into the movie without making it feel like filler. Seriously, there are plenty of good laughs in it. But it will not only have you laughing a lot, because what makes TS3 the most special is how dark it is! Perhaps that is not suitable for the youngest viewers, 'cause believe me there are some disturbing images and charaters among the lot. To avoid spoiling anything I will sum it up shortly to finish. Toy Story 3 is an amazing if a little dark addition to the franchise which leaves no stone unturned and no eyes dry when it comes to an end.
O Mais Espetacular e Emocionante Filme Pixar de Todos os Tempos! Um Verdadeiro Triunfo para o Cinema Americano!
I first saw this in theaters in 2010, and I gave it a four out of ten. However, I decided to watch it again 7 years later, and I am lowering my rating to a 3. It still is a decent movie, but as a Pixar movie, I expect a higher standard with films. It brought nothing new to the table, like the first two did. Toy Story was the first computer animated movie, and Toy Story 2 proved that animated sequels could be great, unlike previous straight to DVD Disney sequels. (Mulan 2). As for the third entry, it was just a bunch of nostalgia thrown over a bunch of references thrown over a bunch of conveniences. I mean come on, Woody just happened to find a kite on the roof of Sunnyside. There are many other "well that was lucky" moments in the movie. I do NOT think that this deserves to be in the top 250 movies, as it brings NOTHING that is new and interesting to the film industry, other than the first animated movie to gross $1,000,000,000. I really can't get emotionally moved, let alone attached to any of these characters. It's very similar to Toy Story 2 with it's villain's motivations and appearance. In short, this movie is bad and disappointing. Just because it's nostalgic and filled with references doesn't mean it's a good movie. The inferno scene is emotionless and quickly glossed over. Like this film if you can, I just can't. Final Review: Bad, disappointing, letdown.
