Each episode features a guest detective, four suspects, a crime scene, evidence and witness accounts - just like real detective work. The show is hosted by comedian Cal Wilson, who occasionally gives subtle hints towards the crime. Each week, the guest detective must solve the murder using his or her evidence. There are some similarities to the 1970s British series Whodunnit! and the 1990s Australian television game show Cluedo. A second series is currently being negotiated by the ABC.

Dramatising situations that Britain could one day face, Crisis Command: Could You Run The Country? gives three proven decision makers the chance to manage the country during a potential disaster. They have advice from Military, Emergency Services and Communications experts, but the final decisions are down to them alone. The team - acting as Ministers - will be confronted by dilemmas arising from the situation on the ground that will influence the fate of millions. Their objective is to work together to bring the crisis under control with as few casualties and as little economic impact as possible.

Storybook Squares is a short-lived Saturday morning version of Hollywood Squares for children. The primary difference, apart from having children as contestants, was that it featured celebrities in costume as well-known fictional characters and some as historical figures. As with the adult version, Peter Marshall was host and Kenny Williams was announcer; Williams read the characters' names off a scroll as "The Guardian of the Gate", a role similar to his "Town Crier" on Video Village. The series originally ran on NBC from January 4 to April 19, 1969, with repeats airing until August 30.

The show features male amateur contestants matching themselves against professional athletes in a series of athletic feats related to the expertise sport of the Pro they are facing. For its first three seasons, the show was hosted by Petros Papadakis. Since Season Four, it has been co-hosted by Michael Strahan and Jay Glazer. The first two seasons were filmed at Carson, California's Home Depot Center, which was referenced in aerial shots.
