I never heard of this mini series before. I was browsing through the channels one day and suddenly came on to this on Star Movies. Initially I thought it to be yet another Street Fighter Wannabe. 10 minutes into the movie and I was glued. I couldn't stop the movie. The movie ended at 2 in the night and I had an important interview at 10 next day. I knew I had to sleep early but just couldn't stop the movie. It was so damn interesting. In fact, the only Street Fighters movie that's so interesting. The hope the sequel is just as tight; and focus more on story and live action. Not some unwanted CGI. The reason I'm worried is because the producers might raise the budget, ask for unwanted CGI, and interfere with the story. This is the case with most sequels. Hope they read this and let the director work his way.Highly recommended for all Street Fighters Fans.

Have you seen the insane high ratings almost all the reviewers have given? They have said everything, this series is really THAT great! Season 2, please come fast! The actors doing a great job, portraying Ryu, Ken, Goken, Goki (Akuma) and Gotetsu very accurately. The production value is almost unbelievable, considering the low budget. Hollywood, shame on you! The proverb is really true: A small budget inspires creativity! (if there's motivation). After the two abysmal Hollywood movies, everybody was convinced that a live-action adaptation of Street Fighter is impossible. Assassins Fist proved us all wrong. I'm so happy for that!

I give 10★ for its consistency with the game, unlike most (if not all) ridiculous street fighter movies out there As the subtitle implies, the story focus on ken and ryu and the secret around their school style ansatsuken (assasin's fist), so, no u wont see street fighter tournament or it's many characters participant. The story itself been done real good and consistent with background story of the game series. They even carefully took care of small details trivia such the gloves and headband, again, consistent with the game time line.As a fan, u could easily recognize their style 'trademark moves' when they fight, not only the 'hado' set of hadoken-shoryuken-tatsumaki but also in their 'ordinary' punch and kick or even in some stance (not in all fight). Now i cant wait to see how they will do the 2nd season. And hopefully somebody will do the same approach with other great game series (e.g. soul edge/soul calibur, i think it has great potential and not been explored much).

I've been waiting for a Street Fighter live action adaptation for ages...I mean there has been previous attempts, but that's all they were attempts, and they messed up the story so much that not even half way through those movies you'd go "What the hell???"...So after watching this feature film, I was completely blown away. They stayed true to the Street Fighter storyline and the moves were almost as in the games. the only one i kind of hated was the 'Hurricane Kick', which i felt wasn't up to par. I'm not saying i wanted to see a couple of guys spinning endlessly like in the game completely defying gravity, but a 720 degrees spin with three kicks would have been cool. The Hadouken, and Shoryuken, were awesome. The best thing for me was my favorite in game character, Ken Masters, the casting was spot on...Ryu was a close look-a-like as well, but Ken sold it for me and that Flaming Shoryuken epic. Akuma could have looked a little scarier though, but his finishing move, wasn't expecting that at all.So now am begging the producers and director to please, please do make a sequel or two. i would love to see your take on Chun Li, Guile, Bison,Sagat, and the most difficult of all Blanca and Dahalsim. This is a must watch for all Street Fighter fans and all those wanting to watch a good storyline.
