That was an excellent one.
Thanks for the memories!
The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
As a retired US Navy Submariner, this movie has more holes than Swiss cheese. That aside, it's better than a majority of the movies on SyFy Channel. Kudos for actually using a real Sub Control Room, but in a "Bell"?? I'm available to advise your next Navy movie.
Whoever did the technical aspects of this film was extremely careless. Madsen "the Admiral" had nothing resembling a military haircut, the ship was full of rust a long shot showed the ship like a model in a tub of water. The shaking of the boat or so called underwater vehicle looked like, the people were rocking around on chairs, left to right, forward & backwards "shaking". It was pathetic and inane. The passion, anger, emotions were so faked it was sad
I enjoyed the plot and the characters. I expected this teeth to cut out more chunks that they did. Enjoyable and entertaining. So many people died but the dog was saved. That's a happy ending. Not so happy for environmentalists. How would you kill a creature like that in this century - shocking. Haha.
Compelling story as the crew is stranded against a true beast. Burkhead is a great character!
