You won't be disappointed!
best movie i've ever seen.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
The Gateway ("Alpha Gateway" on the US Amazon site) is a surprisingly good and thought provoking film that even those who do not normally watch science fiction should find enjoyable. The principle is that at any time we live in only one of perhaps many parallel worlds, some nearly identical to ours and others vastly different. There have been a number of films exploring similar issues in time travel, which open a whole new "world" of possibilities, as does this film in its approach to parallel universes. We won't spoil it here...it is simply too good. But watch for the surprise last few seconds which are so strong that one must ask if a follow up might be on the way.
Most low budget SF movies I watch are not good, but this is an exception, I was impressed with this film. The lead actress who plays Jane gives an excellent performance as does the bad guy. the parallel world stuff is good too, bit like counterpart. overall thought provoking and worth a watch
This was great for a low budget movie , it never had a dull moment , was interesting throughout and the film flew by which is always a good sign ,,i loved the main lady character you could really connect with her and in all a very enjoyable and thought provoking movie , ignore the reviews picking holes in this movie i think they must be living in a parallel universe watching a different movie to knock this entertaining film ,
The skeleton of the plot is really intriguing, and the last bit of the movie is a pretty decent nail-biter, mostly because of a well made musical score. Unfortunately, this movie is plagued with poor acting performances, terrible writing, and many many amateur production mistakes (the sound is AWFUL, and the editing is lethargic with many awkward cuts and even some that look like mistakes). Yes, this a low budget movie but it's not THAT low. An equal quality product could have been made with a quarter of the budget and half the runtime, and leaves me wondering what most of the money was spent on. I would love to see this movie remade at some point, because the sci-fi bedrock of the movie deserves to be explored (nothing groundbreaking but still fun). Better luck next time.
