i must have seen a different film!!
Excellent but underrated film
It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Been a while since i've seen this. Here goes ...Unlike most revenge thrillers i've seen, this one actually has a plot to it. And a good one at that. I'll not spoil it too much aside to say that the usual plotting is totally thrown aside.*** POTENTIAL SPOILER ***As the film goes on, the relationships between the main characters becomes more explained and entrenched. We find that others have been sucked into the protagonist's fight and they are just as eager to end it.The opening scene is incredibly powerful, given the fact it was shot in slow-mo b&w. This is only a clue to what has actually gone on. We find out much later what has actually gone on, and therefore the catalyst to the events we see in this film.*** SPOILER END ***Go rent it. It's an incredibly good directorial debut by Frank Coraci. In fact, go see his other films after this. You won't be disappointed.Oh, and he has a small cameo in this. See if you can find out where.
