One of my all time favorites.
This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
DESTINATION: OUTER SPACE is another indie throwback feature from director Christopher R. Mihm. The story is inspired by BUCK ROGERS and sees an astronaut propelled deep into outer space, where he must figure out a way to get back home to Earth. As with the rest of Mihm's films, there's a surfeit of enthusiasm and imagination somewhat curtailed by a very low budget which renders the whole thing a bit plodding and padded. You get the occasional robot but that's about it here.
