It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

When I started to watch this movie, it was immediately apparent it was not going to be of the highest quality. You may ask why I persevered and viewed the entirety of this celluloid excreta - this film is so bad, on so many levels (acting, script, plot), that one has to keep watching to find out whether the cast and crew can maintain such a ridiculously low level of quality for an entire film. One could be forgiven for thinking that this film was a spoof - its clichéd predictable script would only need direction to the 'actors' to turn this into a true, but poor quality, spoof.Although I have said this film is dire, I would recommend it - it's so bad, it's entertaining, however not in the same league as Edward D. Wood Jnr.

The movie Contagion was a well thought out story that had below average acting and corny elements. The actual plot of the movie was great. The President of the United States is shot with the ebola virus by terrorists and the disease will spread like wildfire if time runs out. By listening to that plot, one would think that suspense keep the viewer anxious throughout the whole movie. However, the acting is so bad that it is hard to take the movie seriously. In addition, there are several effects that unsuccessfully add drama. For example, the President refuses to take the antidote provided by the terrorist cause he does not believe in it, the nurse tells Dr. Landis to tell her daughter she was "the light of her life" before she dies, and randomly the screen shows what hour it is since the virus was shot into the President. None of these attempts to add drama or suspense made me hold on to the edge of my seat. The bottom line was that this movie did not reach its potential. With the story line, it could have been a great science fiction; however, the bad acting and the lack of development make this a below average film even for a science fiction.

After watching Contagion I realized that yes it is possible for a terrorist to attempt to set off a bioweapon that could be very hazordous to the environment. It is actually very possible for someone to transmit the virus through the dart like in the movie. However, the effects in the movie were very bad, and in fact disturbingly annoying. And obviously one of the worst things in the movie had to be the idea that the president and the doctor started falling in love with each other. If I had to choose "the best line" in the movie it would probably have to be when the doctor said, "I have been waiting to do this", and then fixes his tie. Therefore, I gave the rating a 5 for the idea that the bioterrorism threat is indeed very possible, however, the acting was very bad.

this is quite possibly the worst movie I've ever been forced to watch through in its entirety. there are 3 main reasons this move was so bad: first the improbability of important events and the plot holes, second the poor acting and bad script, and finally the terrible effects.well let me start out by saying that if the real president of the united states had the security that he had in this movie our country would probably go through three or four presidents a year. that being said there were many other obvious plot holes like the secret service and the army not being able to find a particular woman in a small hospital or a little kid being able to get in and out of a quarantine zone like it wasn't any body's business.the terrible acting in this film is only overcome by the horrible writing.. the matter-of-fact-ness of the the doctor in charge of finding a cure mixed with her never being in her lab doing any research made her character quite quaint and unbelievable. the presidents lack of concern and burly attitude was a stereotype played to the tee but completely unbelievably i had really problem identifying the the character playing the president as the president and not just some guy with a suit and red tie. but the worst character by far was the evil doctor lady aside from being the worst actor in the film her character didn't really make any sense and really had no direction or reason to exist she was completely unbelievable.finally the effects in this movie were awful from a helicopter being vaporised before the missile hit to the cheesy unrealistic field lab. if it involved a computer effect it looked bad. i have literally seen better effects in power-point presentations.in closing do not see this movie for any reason for your own mental health avoid this movie like the plague.
