By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Or not. This is low budget and it can be seen. The effects might go off as OK (if you don't mind the obvious CGI and other things at times), but the acting is the one things that probably will break this movie for you. Make it barely watchable to put it that way. The story is pretty simple, therefor nothing to get excited about. It tries to stay and be funny which does not work most of the time (unless this actually hits your sense of humor, which would be rare). What it did produce is one very nasty, but also very funny, if not political correct review here on IMDb by someone with the number 1969 in his nickname. Unfortunately it's the only review that user has written (2 years ago). More of that please - the review that is, not the movie

Yeehaw! Grab you some Billy Beer, grab a pretty gal, gas up the truck and load up the shotguns! We're gonna crank up Killer Moonshine on the old 8 track and go kill us some Zombies! Rockabilly Zombie Weekend is just plain good old fashion fun with a mix of laughs as well as oh....gross...moments. The soundtrack is jamming! So you "critics" out there, let your hair down and have some fun instead of being all plugged up needing an enema. Really? Taking a ZOMBIE movie that seriously? LOL! These folks did a fine job for this genre. 10 BULLSEYE HEADSHOTS for RZW! A great addition to the Florida Indie Film scene. And any good Zombie movie fans would know that George Romero filmed "Day of The Dead" 1985 in Florida.

I admittedly love the genre, zombie movies were once a guilty pleasure thrust into the limelight with the startling popularity of The Walking Dead, Zombieland, and others. However the some of us have been zombie aficionados have been around a bit longer. You are far more likely to hear us mention Fulci and O'Bannon, as well as, titles like Zombie, Cemetery Man, and Return of the Living Dead, occasionally throwing in more recent ones like La Horde and Dead Snow. After the screening in February, I added Rockabilly Zombie Weekend to this list, and yes, I'll tell you why. 1. Zombies, duh. There is no such thing as a bad zombie. There are different interpretations, of course, but no one is wrong. Until you have one knocking on your door trying to consume you, take it with a little imagination. The Special Effects Crew was phenomenal, making even my cast iron stomach squiggle, in some of the shots.2. Speaking of shots....that one zombie who took the dive over the bushes at the hospital...BRILLIANT!3. This is a completely local CENTRAL Florida production. Seriously, it's another project helping us out from beneath the Giant Shadow of Disney. 4. The writer, director, and all of the cast and crew hit their marks exactly the way it was planned.5. I laughed, just like the other films I referenced above, Rockabilly Zombie Weekend has some amazing top tongue-in-cheek humor going on. Although not nearly as revealing, but performance by Michelle Elise reminded me of Linnea Quigley in Return of the Living Dead. Watch it, laugh, ogle, squeal, root for the zombies, root for the heroes, and JUST ENJOY IT. THIS IS A ZOMBIE MOVIE. I REPEAT THIS IS A ZOMBIE MOVIE.

This movie is, in a word, boring. At least Birdemic was funny in its audaciousness. Rockabilly Zombie Weekend utterly fails to entertain me on any level. It's not funny, scary, or exciting. It's just dull. This film doesn't do anything particularly wrong or right, and herein lies my dislike for it. One might think that it breaks at least some new ground in filmmaking, but the concept isn't particularly creative and strikes me as pandering.Sometimes "indie" is just another word for "bad." I can't think of any reason someone would want to see this movie unless they were a huge zombie buff. Even if that's the case, skip Rockabilly Zombie Weekend. It's not worth your time or money.
