Fresh and Exciting

I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny

The film tells the story of five friends who are stopped by two border guards. Typical border questions turns into humiliation. They are then kidnapped, held in cages and tortured. Turns out they are ex-soldiers and they think the innocent friends are terrorists. The first 50 mins or so of the film is a decent horror film. But then it turns into a moral story about Guantanamo Bay and torture and the film loses the plot. I lost interest and have no idea what the private detective had to do with the plot. I also flicked to the end and have no idea what happened to the friends. Its a shame as the film does start out as a decent horror torture film but it feels like they changed direction and tried to justify the film. I think this ruined it as it was very well acted and had good suspension and effects.

I have to say that the DVD cover was very misleading! How it looked like a good film & turned out to be a massive fail in the end. I mean don't get me wrong, the film was good just like any other but it just didn't make any sense in the end! ***CONTAINS SPOILERS*** Like all you see is the investigator getting killed by this untrained psycho who accuses these innocent people for nothing & thinks that he can justify eye for an eye & that it is OK & forgets what decade he is in! While these innocent people are locked up in a metal container & you see his friend go inside & then BAM! End of film! It just didn't make any sense at all! I mean there's loads of unanswered questions such as follows:What did they do wrong? As far as the audience is concerned they were innocent people & those officers weren't real/trained officers, corrupt officers if you will! Thinking they can take the law into their owns hands without any regulations or rules! They had no evidence to suggest they did wrong! Not to mention the outrages things they were doing to them! It doesn't state once in the film what they did wrong, nothing added up!Did these guys get caught? I mean I really wanted those pieces of degeneracy to get some hard justice done to them for what they did which made me mad!Did the police ever find them? The detective that got killed would have been reported missing & the police would have found out who was behind the whole thing eventually which I would have wanted to see!! Acting as though they never saw a 4x4 when there were only 2 roads within that area were they would have seen the 4x4 car!Did they survive? Makes me wonder if they did survive & if they ever escaped in one piece! I would have liked it if they managed to escape & run away from the forest & get to safety as well as putting those bad people to justice! Overall it was OK but just had a VERY crappy ending! Really sucked! 2/10

The whole movie starts pretty thrilling and interesting but after 45 minutes just gives up and stops the story. No kidding, the story just stops to exist - nothing ever gets revealed - and then it just ends.100 minutes of my life I will never get back. The actors were OK but let's be honest I don't watch a movie just because of good actors, especially when no one seems to know what they are acting for.All in all - not worth watching. You wont find anyone who liked it (unless being related to one of the crew or getting payed for it).I don't even know why they added that private detective after 47 minutes, gave up on all the main actors (except the bad guys) and went with a storyline that felt like just made up to find (a crappy) ending.

I just watched this film, and it was the worse film I have ever seen; so bad that I had to register on this site to leave the feedback.The starting 30 minutes was really good; good acting and a very interesting story plot. However, after their arrest and being kidnapped, things went down the hill really fast. There were no story, no historical, economical or any story line of any sort observed, and even by introducing a private detective things didn't improve at all. Furthermore, the ending was totally appalling; no indication to a sequel, no complete ending and not even any thoughts lead so that viewers can continue with the story as they see or prefer, in order to make the film more anticipating.I seriously recommend everyone not to see this film unless you have around 2 hours free time to do absolutely nothing, but then, watching 3 episode of friends back to back or repeatedly is much more fun.
