Disappointment for a huge fan!
In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
The Dark Knight Rises this movie is a perfect way to end a trilogy the movie doesn't just end the story of this great trilogy and rap everything up it also includes everything that has happened in the two previous films and shows the consequences of them action like every final movie in a trilogy should do.The story in this is incredible with Bruce Wayne getting to his lowest point in the trilogy with him literally losing everything his company and his money but he still Rises from the darkness and becomes the hero that Gotham needs and deserves. The story also brings back elements from the Batman Begins bringing back the League of Shadows with its main villain Bane and also Talia Al Ghul which was an amazing twist in the movie and one i never saw coming. Bane was a great villain to do in this movie and plays a big part in Batman losing everything literally breaking Batman and breaking the peace that him and Gordan made when they lied about the legacy of Harvey Dent after The Dark Knight we've never seen Batman lose before like that and it was great to see and then see him Rise back up and save his city again amazing story telling. Tom Hardy played the role of Bane really well the fact that he was able to do show so much emotion even wearing mask is just a credit to his great acting and is one of the reasons i think he will work as Venom because hes just a great actor.Catwoman gets introduced in the trilogy in this movie and his plays a great part in this movie love how her actions change during the movie she has some great character moments i love how she starts of afraid of Bane and his employers and betrays batman but after all that she still comes through in the end and helps Batman defeat Bane in the final act such great building for Catwoman and has much as love Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns she never had that much character building at least not as good in my opinion. My favourite part of the movie is when Bruce Wayne is in the prison i love how he fixes himself all to build him self back from scratch and become the Batman again all to fix his city and how he gets out of the prison his amazing specifically when the bats come out the wall taking the scene from Batman Begins in the cave its as if Bruce remembers why he started doing this and who he really is and this inspires him to Rise out of the darkness and save his city such a great moment. However this is also my only negative with the movie i wish we would of seen more of him training in the prison see more of Bruce building himself back up would made for a better story in my opinion. The ending to the movie in amazing i love how Batman gets recognised for being the hero that he was and Gotham finally had peace. Bruce also got his happy ending and when Alfred sees him at the end it always makes me happy to see Bruce have is happy ending and his promise to his parents is complete.Verdict 9/10 Perfect end to a trilogy and a great way to end the story of Batman just wish would of seen more in the prison.
The Dark Knight Rises (or T.D.K.R.) became the centerpiece of many Batman fans debating as to whether or not it was the sequel we deserved or needed; I say it was exactly that and more. T.D.K.R. managed to deliver the same super-thrills of The Dark Knight and then some of its own dare I say more ambitious thrills in making this like a blockbuster take on 'A Tale of Two Cities' while expanding on the areas Batman Begins may, or may not have, squandered in its story and exploration of the League of Shadows. This film makes The Avengers look like a cucumber sandwich compared to the French 'croque monsieur' of blockbuster proportions that is Chris Nolan's T.D.K.R..I love this film; it's a great exploration of what happened after The Dark Knight, and Batman's not the same person he was after he encountered The Joker. Now he's about to confront Bane, come out of retirement since Harvey Dent's demise, save Gotham from the League of Shadows, and maybe Bruce Wayne will meet his untimely end in this chapter. Also Catwoman's in this movie and she's one of the strong points for me. Somebody could argue that this movie is almost too much movie for a superhero film to contain; you have social commentary, terrorism, nuclear weaponry, thieves, the impact of one's influence on children, and of course this is all revolving around Batman and Gotham City. It's suitably epic, over-the-top and bombastic; it's exactly what a superhero movie strives to be. It never pulls its punches in its set-pieces and it shows Chris Nolan makes movies like nobody else these days can come close to.The Dark Knight Rises is a 5/5 star superhero flick that can be argued as one of the most over-the-top yet baldest movies of the 2010s. Chris Nolan knows how to make his movies a gargantuan event.
This movie is great . Bale was awesome as both Batman and Bruce Wayne
The Dark knight rises ends what can be considered one of the greatest trilogies in all cinema. On its own this is a great, long film containing some amazing action set pieces- especially vehicles but the fact remains that there are many underlying themes about human nature and mortality at play here. Christian Bale dons the batsuit one last time for Nolan but it is Tom Hardy as Bane who steals the show with his raw energy. On its own this is a must watch but when seen as a piece of a trilogy this is not to be missed. (Concludes one of the greatest series in all of cinema)
