Good , But It Is Overrated By Some

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

Well it seem i will be the first positive review of the huge 9 reviews number. Well let me tell you this, the reviews are misleading and exactly why i do not take IMDb's score and reviews for truth. This movie is fairly enjoyable.Sure the story is not "realistic", but do you enjoy watching big robots fight on screen or aliens invading Earth? Then it shouldn't be a problem. Its a movie, its for entertainment. This is one of those movie that is good if your drunk, literally speaking as well as figuratively if you follow Jeremy Jhans.No its nothing spectacular, and it will not be a cult classic for me, but i did found myself enjoyed trough it and never checked my watch or anything. I tough it was a fairly decent juvenile comedy.I didn't had one like this for a while and for that i am glad. Sometimes IMDb reviews are spot on, other times there totally not...

I am one of those people who can't do work in a quiet room, I have to have the television on or music playing. I often try to find a movie or a show that is not very interesting so I will only be partially distracted by it. I'd have to say that "Gettin It" might be the least interesting film ever made as it was not remotely distracting.The biggest problem with this movie is that it has no idea of what it wants to be. It is an obvious attempt at trying to make an "American Pie" rip off, down to the music playing in the credits. However, as cliché as "American Pie" was, it was also creative, funny and a few hundred times more realistic than "Gettin It." "American Pie" offers characters that actually make you care what happens to them. "Gettin It" is unable to do that to any degree. What you end up with is a sex comedy, with no plot, no laughs and the most bizarre, boring and stupid sex scenes ever seen in film.The biggest problem is that the actor playing Silver is actually very cute and could make you care about him. However he put into a role where he is forced to be the geeky guy who is dating a girl who looks like she could be the head cheerleader and HE is the one pushing for sex. Cheerleader looking girlfriend would rather hang out in the cemetery (I honestly have no idea why that was mentioned but never explained in this movie).You won't get invested in this movie. If you see it on Netflix and assume it might be worth it for a sex scene or anything else, don't give in. The film makers should make a public apology for allowing this film to exist.

It's hard to express in words just how awful this movie is. Indeed, a single visual would do a much job than words ever could: a steaming pile of dog poop.I've seen thousands of movies, yet this may well be the only one that didn't manage to get even a single thing right. The premise is weak, the acting is horrible, the dialogue is atrocious, the storyline is trite and the cinematography just stinks. However, the biggest problem is that it just isn't funny. It didn't make me laugh - or even smile - a single time.Anyone, and I do mean *anyone* could make a funnier movie. Compared to Getting' It, movies like Revenge of the Nerds part 4 and Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo are comedic masterpieces.If you liked American Pie, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Wedding Crashers or Superbad... you will HATE this.

Getting' It was by far the worst movie I've ever seen. I literally had to force myself to watch the whole movie because I had spent money renting it. The acting was god awful, the storyline made little sense, and half of the time I was watching it I had no clue what was going on. The only times that I laughed during this movie was when the person next to me farted, I'm not even kidding. I recommend that nobody rents/buys this movie, it isn't even worth stealing it. This is the first time I've ever actually considered killing myself while watching a movie. I wasted 2 hours of my life watching this piece of garbage, and I have to live with that for the rest of my life. I seriously cannot believe anyone could possibly make a movie this bad, and even more surprised that someone actually picked it up for production. F*ck this movie.Love, HAIRison Ford
