This speaks for all Charlie Brown. I loved seeing these on ABC as a kid. Then I collected them for my sister and saw them WAY to many times. This one made me realize Charlie Brown is not my cup of tea anymore. They are great to show your kids, but not to see once a week as a kid and go back to!My sister killed Charlie Brown for me, and now I all I care for is The Peanuts Movie. must see for kids, not for adults who have seen Charlie Brown fail at pitching 1,000 times.

I know I don't. I have never been too big on The Peanuts and this half-hour here cannot change my approach to them either. Emmy voters think different obviously as they nominated this cartoon from over 40 years ago. Then again they did so almost every time and sometimes even handed them the win, so they were probably a bit biased. The director is Phil Roman again and Charles M. Schulz obviously wrote it. I found the entire Easter Beagle plot pretty uninteresting. The Beagle's scenes with Woodstock weren't better either. The only somewhat funny thing were the failed attempts at cooking and painting Easter Eggs. Pretty much all of the child actors who voiced the characters did not act in anything else, so no famous names here either where one could be interested about their work in their younger years. All in all, not a memorable short movie. Not recommended.

This is as depressing as the rest of the specials, though not as much as the Christmas one. It's amazing to me that more of my generation didn't grow up angst-ridden because of pap like this. You want to THROTTLE Lucy and the rest of the girls, save for Peppermint Patty, who at least tries to be nice to Charlie Brown, and give the rest of the gang a whop upside the head while imitating Cher in 'Moonstruck': "Snap out of it!" When CBS chose not to air any of the specials one year I sat down and wrote a personal letter to Roone Arledge, CEO at the time, profusely thanking him. These shows should be put in the dustbin, have kerosene poured over them, and set alight!

The peanuts gang are up to their usual mischief in preparation for Easter Sunday, but no one seems to be listening to Linus. He swears that the Easter Beagle will come and make the celebrations complete. Typically no one listens to him, he is little bit 'Ralph Wiggum' remember.Though Snoopy ends up being that very Beagle, he's far too busy trying to help out Woodstock. The poor little bird is freezing in his cruddy little nest full of cold water. So Snoopy goes off to the mall (already advertising Xmas goodies!) to buy him a bird house. With hilarious results.After much hijinks and endless trips to the mall for eggs (Marcie keeps smashing them as she doesn't know how to do egg-painting) Snoopy saves the day and proves Linus right after all. Sigh! They don't make 'em like this anymore. I'll take Snoopy over Spongebob any day.
