I love this movie so much
Sorry, this movie sucks
Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
After some craptastic masterpieces such as Ninja Thunderbolt, Ninja Terminator, Robo Vampire and other movies, Godfrey Ho goes to America and make a movie that is definitely one of the best collaborations between east and west. The fights are pretty well choreographed and the plot is pretty cool, the story makes more sense and you can actually follow the story without getting and headache, as a fan of Godfrey Ho it was a shock that there wasn't a single use of the "cut and paste technique" (he usually recycled footage of unreleased Asian movies). It definitely feels like an American action movie and Don Niam plays one of the most memorable martial arts movie villain in history, too bad that he didn't made a memorable movie like this. You must be asking to yourself "I am a newbie in all these Godfrey Ho movies, is this a good movie to get introduced to Godfrey Ho ?" well, maybe, this is the less trashy Godfrey Ho movie, personally, if you want to see a real Godfrey Ho movie try: Ninja Thunderbolt or Ninja Terminator. With all these useless sequels, why we can't get Undefeatable 2: The Resurrection of Stingray ?
Cynthia Rothrock is hot, and kicks major ass. That blunt and simple statement doesn't quite clear the way for this D-grade action film.We are talking USA Up-All Night garbage with an extra splash of violence and skin. Speaking of...we glimpse more male skin than female, which hints at a possible homo-eroticism on the director's part. Despite the eye-gouging hook finale, and Cynthia's solid moves, I still can't give this brainless film more than 1 star. For action heads, otherwise beware. The frantic nature and pace of the editing gave me recollections of Umberto Lenzi's or Nicos Mastorakis' style. This may be looking too deeply into a mud puddle, but what can I say? Certainly not a whole hell of allot more. My advice: netflix Enter the Dragon and watch something memorable.
The Psychiastist, the cops, the common citizen, everyone knows martial arts in the world of this crazy movie! Now, if your reading this it is probably because you, like me hunt the web for entertaining bad movies. Man, you have struck the mother load. There are thousands of movies in this site that are reviewed as "so bad its good" movies, the problem is that mostly even when a movie has funny cheesy dialog, bad acting, hilariously bad scripts, sometimes the whole experience is dimmed because most of this flicks are boring, or have very long boring parts. And that's where Undefeatable stands tall, because this movie just won't take a break! There is a fight or a rape or a violent murder every five minutes at least! like if it was a rule the makers self imposed! So if you are a bad movie lover, i assure that you wont believe the rhythm this movie has, that plus incredible bad actors, plenty of cheesy greasy dialog but most important of all a script that kinda manges to tie all sub-plots! Which is the first rule of story structure!!! Of course, all the subplots are ridiculous...but they do convert! So this movie is bad as they get and at the same time totally entertaining and that is what should urge you to see it, if you call yourself a bad movie hunter. The whole thing's on you tube which i am sure infringes right laws but if you hurry you may be able to catch it.You'll be amazed, that much i can assure you.
I simply HAD to comment this film. After purchasing a DVD of this for only £0.99, I have probably had the most amazing experience of a cinematic-nature in my life.Anyhoo.. I didn't know DVD's like these existed! Used to the shiny, Hollywood blockbusters I was quite shocked.Godfrey Hall II is a legend! His choice of cringe-worthy actors, awful choreography, even worse cameras and crummy film are effective in making a fairly entertaining film! Don Niam should be awarded for the bravery shown just for appearing on camera (oh, the hairstyle....) Cynthia Rothrock isn't the world's worst actor, and is actually quite attractive, but just doesn't seem to fit in, in my view.
