A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

Undoubtedly one of the poorest films you'll ever see in your life, RAIDERS OF THE LOST SHARK would make a good double-bill with the equally awful SHARK EXORCIST. Both films are entirely shot on the shores of a lake. This one sees a parade of non-actors strip down to their underwear or swimwear before venturing into knee-deep water, where they're chomped on by a barely-glimpsed terrible CGI effect. That's as much as you'll get with this movie. It's very much a rock bottom production, so bad it's not even funny.

I have seen many shark movies recently and this is by far the worst of all of them! Firstly the trailer makes no sense to the story whats so ever. It specifically mentions how its meant to be a "perfect vacation" which isn't really true considering all it is are these teenagers wanting to see this shark (which is already the most unrealistic looking thing ever in recorded cinema).Acting is beyond unbelievable. Its like it was recorded for a school project (even then school kids would make a better movie then this trash). There's only a handful of people in this film, and they really need to go to acting school because watching them act really is well .. awful. Please do not even look at this film, it really is a disaster! Definitely avoid it!

First of all, the posters and description are highly deceptive - it is a very low budget movie ($320,000) and they could not afford any helicopters, airplanes or even water surfing. So none of the shots in the poster are there in the movie. All the special effects are created on someone's desktop computer (or possibly public library). The 'underwater' camera shots are taken in only a few feet deep water. Deep water 'shark' video clips have been taken from nature documentaries. Most people become 'victims' of shark when they are standing in shallow water or swimming a few yards from shore or a small boat (the only 'vehicle' or 'equipment' used in the movie). There are flabby, really bad actors in their swim suits. The previous credits of "director" include being a "camera-operator" in one production of the same company (which bears his name). You will have more fun in a high-school production. This is probably the worse movie I have ever seen.

Where to begin with this poor excuse for a movie? The acting is some of the worst in any film. These people make David Duchovny seem full of emotion. The dialog sounds like it was written by middle school children. For example three women running fall to the ground, two of them get up, the third one vanishes. One girl says "Where did Janet go?" The other one replies "I think she rolled down that hill, we have to go find that creepy guy" and they run away without their friend who rolled down a non existent hill covered in enough trees to stop anyone from rolling anywhere. The effects were anything but special. And the shark...oh the shark...they truly jumped the shark on this one...OK first the shark starts out in a lake, never mind that sharks can't live in fresh water. It can also move the water, jump in and out of it without so much as a ripple. It can dive head first into about 3ft of water with no issues. Then toward the end it can FLY!! Now I don't mean it can jump really high out of the water, I mean it can fly through the forest, attack airplanes, etc. OK a flying shark might be cool. Except this on can fly without moving a muscle. No flapping of the fins, no swishing of the tail, it just floats motionless through the air like it belongs in a Macy's Thanksgiving parade. How they kill the shark (I won't spoil that for you) is equally unbelievable...if you pay attention to what is done. The budget is listed as $350,000. The only way they spent that much is if they spent $340,000 on hookers and drugs while filming this. At least the cinematography was decent.Bottom line this "movie" will make you appreciate movies by the Asylum film company, I suggest avoiding it at all costs.
