Redundant and unnecessary.
Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
I am a definite fan of the found footage genre, and I usually have a fairly high threshold for getting grossed out, but this is just plain sick schlock. I couldn't even finish watching the trailer, so that should give you an idea of what my opinion of the entire movie was like. There's no artistry or imagination in anything anymore, it's just become all about how many buttons can we push and how much fake blood can we splatter over the screen. I also took an immediate dislike to ALL of the characters just from what I saw. Look at the trailer and see for yourself, but I'm not going to waste any more time with this thing.
Horrible waste of time. It makes VHSI, II, and III look like Academy Award worthy movies. When the film ended, I think I sat and stared at the screen for at least 5 to 10 minutes after it was over. It was so horrible, my brain just went blank. If you are a Found Footage fanatic then maybe you can dig deep enough to find something likable about this film. However, as I type, I am still trying to figure out ways to regain the time I lost watching this crap.I can appreciate low budget films but the issue with this is, its extremely low budget, the acting is horrible, and the story-line is even worse. A triple flop.
PLOT SPOILER REVIEW FOR TREKKIES This is a found footage tape that appears to be hyped. The film cares nothing about chronology and the second segment of ghost hunters with a twist I found to be the most entertaining, and have no idea how it tied into the rest of the film. Some people do experimentation and discover there are Scalosians here on Earth, Scalosians who have fun with Amanda "roofie" Courtney (Brittany Underwood) while she sleeps and does mental torture on her which she shares with us in a long boring ill acted monologue. Camera footage was mostly bad angles and bad lighting. I have never shot anything that amateur and I can't even spell camerea. The acting wasn't there. Special effects include electric interference on cameras, a floating playing card, a voice distorter and a rubber mask...or yes people standing still. The neck thing was good.Guide: No sex or nudity. No swearing that I recall. Some girls on Cam who pretend like they are going to do something. From now on I am only watching cam girls who don't speak English.Winner of numerous indie/horror awards and third place at the Indie Gathering International Film Festival. This didn't appeal to me like it did to others. Seemed slow and choppy
As far as found footage horror goes I found this to be an alright movie. Then when I looked it up and found out it was a from scratch no budget movie I gave it much more credit. People have made a lot worse movies with a lot more money then these people. They didn't have much to work with, yet the movie still turned out good and you could tell everyone or almost everyone put their heart into trying to make it good and interesting. I wish they advertised they didn't have any budget because people would appreciate this a lot more. With some money behind a future movie I do believe they can turn out something awesome to rival or surpass ABC's of Death or VHS.
